Done with the note she had decided to write to Jareth, Sarah laid the quill aside and slid it across the desk to Stephen. This was by far the easy part, but she knew the hardest part - waiting - was soon to come.

"It doesn't say much, and I'm expecting him to try to find out what I want before he sees me," she said, tapping her finger at a corner of it. "And God knows how long we'll have to wait." She sat back in the chair and folded her hands, looking at him over her fingers. "You know, I don't know anything about you, Stephen, not really. If you feel like sharing, I'd like to know more about you."

Hello again. This is Professor Remus J. Lupin broadcasting in Technicolor on Radio WART, and with me tonight is my faithful marsupial companion, Ella. Say hello, Ella...

*Ella makes an incredibly hideous noise*

That's right! So I'll start off the broadcast with a few songs of my own. First of all, I'd like to dedicate Nick Drake's Time Has Told Me (Lyrics) to my dearest Nymphadora Tonks. I don't know what I'd do without you, sweetheart.

Next, I've got a couple of dedications for my friends Lily and James Potter, recently returned to the school after a very long absence. James, you won't remember this, but I remember when we used to listen to the Clash at your flat before you got married, so London Calling is for you. Lily, you are the loveliest redhead I know, so here's a song by another lovely redhead - Deep Red Bells by Neko Case. Welcome back, you two.

Swimming with Dieter

Open RP by the lake/outside the castle

Fresh from being Sorted into Ravenclaw, Dieter was eager to get back into his old workout routine. To his disappointment, Hogwarts had neither a tennis court or a gym. Remembering Jack's comment about the lake, he decided that a swim in the brisk water would be an acceptable substitute.

The water was indeed rather cold, and Dieter wished he had brought something a bit warmer than a Speedo. After carefully folding up his clothes and placing them with is towel, he waded into the water and started to swim. He pushed himself to the limit, trying to make his strokes harder and deeper until he could stand it no more. Exhaustion finally forced him back to the shore, where a surprise was waiting for him.

While he had been in the water someone or something had stolen his clothes and towel. He searched in the grass and shrubs, but there was no trace of them. Perplexed, he made his way back to the castle, still dripping wet and clad only in a Speedo.

Shipping revisited!

Since it's been a couple of months, a lot has changed, and we have a lot of new people... time to revisit our list of ships!

In April, we came up with names for h_h ships -- the confirmed and the unlikely.

Some examples of ships developed since then:

Gin/Stephen: Duckshipping (credit: perpetual_smile)
Homsar/Sirius: HMS Jenga Lube (credit: toujours_sirius)

And then we discussed whether our characters were shippers and which ships they preferred.

Nowadays, my own characters are shipping differently than before. Stephen used to be a die-hard Ryuuji/Nightwing shipper. Now he ships Ryuuji/Terry.

Help us identify and name ships, and tell us which ones your characters like! New names for old ships are also welcome!
