Mudwrestling rules agreed upon and evil clowns kept at bay, the small party outside Cox's door disbanded. Ryuuji seemed to be feeling better than he had been before the game of Evil Clown Darts began, Stephen was happy to note, and therefore he did not feel negligent in joining Remus for a test of gillyweed/alcohol interaction. Sirius had brought to Remus's attention the effects of alcohol on the duration of gillyweed-induced transformation, and while originally the researchers had decided the interaction was too risky to explore for various reasons, those reasons currently did not seem very pressing.

Ella the Devinesian devil was returned to her little nest in Remus's quarters, and then the two professors headed cheerfully down to the lake.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm sorry, I've popcorned my characters. That and forced to post this by one of the other muns. >>

:| Pretty much lost interest in the game. Pretty much the game I joined became something else. And well. Eh. That and I frankly couldn't keep up with the game. That and I'm busy with other projects.

Well. Bye. Sorry.

Jack nervously adjusted his suit and checked for the twentieth time that the carriage was still there. He kept looking down the corridor, looking for Kate. He held the flowers, which were temporarily under an invisibility spell, and sent another owl off to the restaurant to double check the bookings. Jack was nervous. Why should he be? He'd went through nail biting surgeries, survived the island from hell, and a whole lot more besides. What was it about Kate that made him so scared? It was only a date. He refused to allow himself to think of the fact that he'd been waiting for this to happen for Months. He'd always liked Kate, ever since the crash, and the were finally going out! He wanted everything to be perfect. He looked around again. Where was she?

Despite his joy at James and Lily Potter's arrivals at Hogwarts, Sirius was about as despondent as when the Dementor had been about to Kiss him after Wormtail had escaped for the second time.

Harry was upset that Sirius had suggested he might move, at least temporarily, to Gryffindor with James and was giving Sirius no indication of how he was handling his parents' sudden arrival at Hogwarts. Ginny was refusing to give Sirius information about Harry's condition and was angry about the way Sirius had handled the potential move and Harry's presence at Lily's Sorting. And Ron had accused Sirius of having a sex-hammock felt that Sirius was treating Harry unfairly, too.

And that was just the younger generation. Sara Sidle was avoiding Sirius for no reason that Sirius could discern. And Remus was apparently no longer a friend.

Right now, James, Firewhisky, homemade two-decades-old vodka, and certain other intoxicating substances, both Muggle and magical, were the only things that might help Sirius. And all of them had promised to be up in a certain special room in North Tower, so it was to there that Sirius headed.

When he arrived, an especially large case of Firewhisky levitating in front of him and Jim Morrison's hashish tucked safely into a pocket of his robes, he sealed the door shut magically, knowing that James would be the only one who would know how to break the enchantment. Slumping down on the floor, he opened a bottle of Firewhisky and gulped half of it down. Then he reached into his robes, pulled out a large plastic bag of densely packed greenish-brown powder and some small squares of parchment, and rolled himself a joint. He ignited it magically and then sat back morosely, head against the wall, and began to smoke it.

RP lunch by the Lake. Anyone in the area who wants to wander by is more than welcome.

Lily walked down to the edge of the lake. Setting down the basket of food, she waved her wand and muttered a quick spell. A bright red blanket unfurled and settled down onto the grass, followed by several platters of sandwiches, puddings, and a large pitcher of pumpkin juice.

Tucking her hair behind her ears, Lily nodded in satisfaction. She was more than a bit nervous that Ginny and Ron would even show up, but at least she had enough food for an army.

Sitting down, she poured herself a glass of juice and sipped slowly, staring out across the lake.

Bree stood inside the entrance to Hufflepuff, holding a suitcase by her side. So, this was her new home. Well, it wasn’t as neat as she would have liked, but she could do something about that soon enough. Certainly the common room looked big enough for the introductory party she was planning out in her mind. Bree smiled about that, already imagining the room decked out in decorations and filled with food and happy party goers.

But first things first. Before she threw herself into life at Hogwarts she needed a room. The school administration appeared to be woefully disorganized, so she figured it would be up to her to find her own accommodations. Well, she was certainly capable of that.

"Excuse me, but can anyone help me?" she asked the room at large, loud enough to be heard, but not so loud as to appear rude, of course. Time to find out how neighborly her new housemates were.

Gin was, once again, tracking Byakuya down through the school, following that familiar trace of power down hallways and the ever-changing stairs.

It wasn't so much that he really desired to talk with the other man so soon after their messy battle in the forest some weeks ago. But there was a certain lingering interest in seeing how Byakuya was doing.

In addition, Gin had never gotten around to figuring out exactly what had happened to Byakuya on those two very eventful days. Something magical, no doubt. That seemed fairly common around the school. But if he was very lucky, Gin thought, he might happen to catch Byakuya in another of his strange magically-influenced moods.
