As Dean neared the bar he saw Bobby and Cas walking out together, it was his lucky day. Dean grinned as the two men stepped out of the bar and pulled his wand free from his jeans "Fancy meetin' you two here." With that the hunter wiggled his eyebrows and quickly uttered the words to the first spell, aiming for Bobby first, he knew he needed to instigate the hunter mostly and hoped Cas would follow along. Of course his spell missed and in the next instant Dean turned and fired another misfired spell at Cas.
Eyes going wide, he played it off well as he looked at the two men left unaffected and then down at his wand "Crap, these things don't shoot like guns." And with that, and another set of misfired spells over his shoulders Dean Winchester took off running down the halls heading for the spot Sam had set up .

Date: 2011-01-11 02:53 am (UTC)Bobby ducked as the first spell zipped over his head and exploded against the wall in a series of sparkles. "So that's how you wanna play it, kid?" He waited for a beat as Dean ran and muttered to Castiel, "Pop ahead of him Cas, he won't make it that far down the hall without checkin' to see if we're chasing him."

Date: 2011-01-11 03:06 am (UTC)Aw, c'mon old man you can run faster than that." He shot back over his shoulder at Bobby and grinned at Cas waving his hand a little as he hit the point him and Sam had every thing set up to go off.
Dean did baseball dive with Cas and Bobby hot on his trail, in an instant he had bellowed "NOW SAMMY!" And when he looked his grin grew wider, they were too close with chasing him to dodge the spells.

Date: 2011-01-11 03:15 am (UTC)"Cas!" he bellowed, "Get outta--"
There was a blinding flash of light and a ripple of energy that knocked everyone backwards. Coughing, Bobby got to his feet and looked around. Everything seemed bigger.
"Damnit, Dean. A shrinking.." he trailed off. That voice was all kinds of wrong. Bobby looked down at his significantly younger self and swore explosively.

Date: 2011-01-11 03:24 am (UTC)Then proceeded to skid quite a bit further than he expected, though by the time he came to a halt the physics of the situation were effectively beyond his ability to grasp.
He looked around the hallway, which seemed suddenly much bigger, saw a curly red-headed boy standing where Bobby had just been, and looked down at his own radically altered vessel with a flummoxed expression for a moment.
When he looked up again, his lower lip was thrust outward and fine, feathery eyebrows drawn together in a scowl of unparalleled ferocity. "D...Deeeen," he managed. "NO. NO, DEEEEN!" He pointed accusingly at the hunter responsible.

Date: 2011-01-11 03:31 am (UTC)At the accusing yell of the little angel, he burst out laughing. "Dude. You're so gonna get it from short stuff there."

Date: 2011-01-11 03:51 am (UTC)But Cas, Cas was his undoing, Dean just turned slowly at the plaintive child like whine in his voice and all the hunter could do was point and laugh "OH crap, Sammy look at them! This was our best prank yet." He doubled over holding his sides for a moment.
Finally at least mildly composed he cocked his head to the side and grinned at Sam "What's he gonna do, kick me in my knees?" Dean looked back at the angel and grinned.
"Ha! You were a short kid, Bobby too!"

Date: 2011-01-12 02:00 am (UTC)He knew once it was all said and done him and Sam might be in trouble, but right now saving his own hide was not as important as locating his lost friends.
"Hey, Dad, it's Dean...I got a problem"

Date: 2011-01-12 02:14 am (UTC)John swung the door open. He had been hoping for a more social visit, but the tension in his son's voice and the look on his face told him something was very wrong. "Dean, what happened? Is it Sammy?"
no subject
Date: 2011-01-12 02:21 am (UTC)He looked up and gave his dad a grin "A bit of a prank war has been goin' on, but now we got Cas as toddler on angel juice, one temper tantrum and this place is toast. We don't know where he went."
Dean looked back down he was concerned for both Bobby and Cas, but Dean knew this next part was going to worry John "He has Bobby with him and he's just a kid too."

Date: 2011-01-12 02:34 am (UTC)"Castiel is a toddler, with Bobby and they're loose somewhere in the school." John closed the door behind him. "All right, let's go. We'll find them, Dean. And when this is over, we're going to have a little talk about the prank war with your brother."
"The angel is getting them around? Ok. Where would he go? Where would he feel safe or happy?"

Date: 2011-01-12 02:38 am (UTC)A rather sheepish elf choose that moment to peek around Dean's legs and look up at the hunter, who gave it a look "You just wait till we find them, then you go get Sammy, don't go to slow or we'll lose you."
Dean stopped when John asked his question, truth be told, Cas was usually with him or and he couldn't call him like he used to "DAD!" Dean had a sudden idea, it might not work but maybe "Try callin' his name, cause in this place, only place I can think of is with us, Cas is always with us, he's family now."

Date: 2011-01-12 02:47 am (UTC)He was trying to chart out the school in his head when Dean's idea brought him to a sudden halt. "You think he'd hear me?" The elder Winchester shrugged and called out in a surprsingly gentle voice, one Dean hadn't heard in years. "Castiel? Castiel you can come out, it's okay. Come on, we'll find a way to fix this."
Nothing.
"Hm. Come on, we'll have to keep trying."

Date: 2011-01-15 03:06 pm (UTC)Sam dropped into the nearest overstuffed leather chair and cracked open a beer. He hated waiting. But he was glad that Adam had decided to wait (http://community.livejournal.com/hogwarts_hocus/1992435.html?thread=112658163#t112658163) with him for Cas, Bobby and hopefully sooner, his brother and their Dad.

Date: 2011-01-15 07:13 pm (UTC)Adam had left the room behind Sam and followed him, he went for a coke rather than a beer, he drank a few times when he was younger but it wasn't a Winchester trait that seemed to pass itself on to him.
He sat in a chair across from Sam and looked around, silent for a few moments "How do you do it?" Adam looked at Sam with a serious expression "Just live through all this crazy stuff and act like it's so normal?"
no subject
Date: 2011-01-15 07:39 pm (UTC)"Come on, we gotta get back to Gryffindor, Sam and Adam are waitin' for us." And with that he took off to the stair case to head over to the common room and hopefully find that all four of them were there.

Sam looked up at Adam's question and it took him a minute to consider his answer. "I guess for us.. this is normal. In a severely fucked up sort of way. Me and Dean were raised around this. I've known about demons and ghosts and everything else that's out there in the dark since I was a kid."
He cocked his head, listening for a moment. Sam fished out a fresh beer and handed it to his brother as Dean walked in. "I even tried normal once. I went to Stanford, took the LSAT, the whole deal. It was nice for awhile, but for me, it wasn't normal. We're hunters. It's what we do. I stopped fighting it."

Date: 2011-01-16 02:58 pm (UTC)Dean stepped up to the common room as Adam asked Sam how he did it? He leaned against the door frame with his arms over his chest and listened for a moment to Sam's response "Yeah, once you've seen the shit we've seen, this place, it's a freakin' vacation in normalcy." His tone was sarcastic as he said and stepped in to the room.
"S'what, where's the kids? Did you lose them again?" He looked around as he didn't see Cas or Bobby and headed for the empty chair next to Sam, slumped down in to it "Y'know, I'm startin' to think I shoulda hexed that cat bastard."

Date: 2011-01-16 03:07 pm (UTC)When Dean asked about Bobby and Cas, Adam shifted uncomfortably in his chair. He didn't say it out loud but part of him felt like maybe he could have handled it better and kept the boys from running off but there was no changing that now and so instead he just shook his head and let Sam answer with a curious tilt of his head at the mention of the cat bastard.

Date: 2011-01-17 04:51 am (UTC)He sat in bed, hands wrapped around a mug of strong, dark coffee. The previous night had been something of a blur, but some details still stuck out vividly in his mind; flowers that shot fireworks, sharing cookies, and a building that left him with a sick feeling of dread in the pit of his stomach. He also vaguely remembered penguins, but was sure that had to be a dream.
Well, a little sure.

Date: 2011-01-17 05:06 am (UTC)Some of it was no more than embarrassing, which he could cope with, and some of the things he'd believed were his fault he was now fairly sure actually weren't, but there was no question (at least in his mind) that he should have noticed Bobby's difficulties without needing Death to call his attention to them. And he wanted to make sure the old hunter had recovered as well.
So the first place he headed when he left his room was to Bobby's door, rapping softly to as not to disturb the man if he still slept.

Date: 2011-01-17 05:13 am (UTC)The old hunter gave the angel a somewhat tired smile and stood aside to let him in. "Glad to see we're both back to our right ages."

Date: 2011-01-17 05:28 am (UTC)His own face still bore a few purplish-yellow smears around his eyes and nose, rapidly-fading evidence of the blood vessels that had blown during his (first ever, not fondly remembered) tantrum. Apart from that and a certain rather sheepish cast to his expression, there was no visible trace on him of the previous day's adventures.

Date: 2011-01-17 05:37 am (UTC)He looked closely at Castiel. Bobby had a sense that turning into a toddler was a rather bizzare experience for an angel. "What about you, son? You ok?"
Whoops. Later Bobby would blame the fatigue, or the headache, lack of coffee or anything that caused him to slip like that. But he would stand by what he said, even if it was the height of human arrogance to call an angel that was older than Creation itself 'son'.

Date: 2011-01-17 08:42 am (UTC)Bizarre was one word for it...
He blinked slowly at the unexpected form of address, then dropped his eyes. Arrogance, perhaps, but his own Father hadn't chosen to show Castiel his face in all the long ages of his existence, let alone ask after his well-being. He was hardly going to take Bobby to task for what was, at the very worst, a well-intentioned accident. Especially under the circumstances.
"Slightly embarrassed," he said after a moment, "but otherwise, I'm fine." He paused a beat. "Bobby, I apologize. Even in that state it was inexcusable of me to be so...oblivious. If I had realized sooner what that tower was doing to you, I would have removed us immediately."
