As Dean neared the bar he saw Bobby and Cas walking out together, it was his lucky day. Dean grinned as the two men stepped out of the bar and pulled his wand free from his jeans "Fancy meetin' you two here." With that the hunter wiggled his eyebrows and quickly uttered the words to the first spell, aiming for Bobby first, he knew he needed to instigate the hunter mostly and hoped Cas would follow along. Of course his spell missed and in the next instant Dean turned and fired another misfired spell at Cas.

Eyes going wide, he played it off well as he looked at the two men left unaffected and then down at his wand "Crap, these things don't shoot like guns." And with that, and another set of misfired spells over his shoulders Dean Winchester took off running down the halls heading for the spot Sam had set up .

"Bobby likes anyone who gives people a hard time. That's how we wound up friends in the first place."

John nodded. "Nothing attracts little boys like cookies. All right, so Bobby knows this kitsune. What do you know about him? Is he a profes.." he trailed off, the light dawning.

Of course. "I met him at the sorting. The professor. Come on!" He grabbed Dean's arm and bolted out the door.

Dean was listening to his dad and rising in to a standing position when John grabbed his arm "Whoa!" He exclaimed as he at first was dragged along, after a few seconds he gained his feet and kept his stride even with his dad's.


"Where we goin'? You know where that tall freak lives?" Dean's eyes rather he knew it or not lit up with pride, of course John would know what to do, even if it meant getting a lecture Dean had made the right decision and his father just proved that to him.

"He's the herbology professor. I don't know where he lives, but I'm sure if we look around the grounds, we'll find him," John said, his eyes shining as Dean ran alongside him. God he had missed this. A simple chase with his son at his side.

"And if we find him, we'll find Castiel and Bobby."

It was like being transported back in to the past, honestly Dean remembered a while back being a teenager again, but not what it felt like. Now, he may as well have been sent back in time, hunting with his dad, both of them in their element and it felt good. Now if he could just get this to include his brother and Dean thought afterword, his half brother.

"HA! Welcome back Cotter!" Dean couldn't help the enthusiastic tone that came with the reference. He would remember to think his Dad but for now Dean ran along side him, just thankful that they would find the boys and soon.

John flashed a grin at his son as they ran. He had missed his enthusiasm and his sheer tenacity on a hunt. It had been so much simpler before they had started tracking the demon full time.

He slowed his pace as they neared the greenhouses. A few flickers of light were visible as the fireworks display Kurama had put on for the boys finally dimmed. "Ok. Slow down. We don't want to scare them into popping out again," he said quietly.

Dean took his cue from John as if things had never changed, they could have been back to hunting before the Demon with the way it all seemed to just flow together.

He slowed his pace and even lowered his voice a little, he knew he would have to watch what he said or risk upsetting Cas once more "Just be careful, some reason bein' a kid makes Cas get all sensitive like Sammy."

He flattened his back to the wall and went to slowly inch his head around the door frame to see if he could catch a glimpse of the angel and hunter turned children "What the hell is he doin', playin' light bright with them?"
