OOC: Is your character a shipper?
Apr. 16th, 2006 02:27 pmExplanation: This comes out of some discussions with Ryuuji-mun and Terry-mun (and an IC discussion between Ryuuji and Terry which greatly amused me).
We've talked about the
hogwarts_hocus ships we muns like. But what about our characters? Are they shippers? Oddly enough, some of mine are!
Stephen is a Ryuuji/Nightwing shipper. He's convinced that Ryuuji and Nightwing will one day wed for real, even though Ryuuji insists that it was all a plot by the French slash cultists.
He is also a Nny/Teatime shipper in that the very notion of Susan/Teatime would make him flip out.
And he is claiming to be a Gin/Byakuya shipper, even though he isn't one ;)
Paul Atreides is a Ryuuji/Terry shipper and is holding himself back from quoting many aphorisms on True Love only because it seems to make Terry go o_O. He's also a River/Stephen shipper.
Cooper, I'm beginning to think, is a Lupin/Jack Sparrow shipper! That pirate rum... And it's an h_h canonical fact that Cooper is a Real!Ron/Puppet!Ron shipper.
Do any of your characters have favorite ships? Or ships that they oppose?
No, I don't do anything special for Easter. Why do you ask? ;)

While Stephen is not above *buying detailed information* on the whereabouts of his lady love, he'd think it was really awful and underhanded to use anything but aboveboard means where that kind of rivalry is involved. At one point, he angsts about feeling guilty over telling Jack Aubrey a lie concerning whether Diana -- whom Jack has been involved with briefly in the past, and whom Stephen eventually marries -- is going to be in Bombay on a given day or not. Because it's just not right!

Date: 2006-04-17 06:42 am (UTC)Logan doesn't worry too much about what's "right." He's got the people he looks out for, and doing that takes precedence over any external system of ethics. He can, occasionally, be brought to see he's being unnecessarily cruel or careless, but only by someone he trusts, and even then it's a struggle. And sometimes the anger takes over.

Not very likely at all. And actually, if he thought Stephen was cheating, what he'd do would be to let River know about it, and let her pound the stuffing out of him, or not, as she chose. Infidelity is despicable.
