Explanation: This comes out of some discussions with Ryuuji-mun and Terry-mun (and an IC discussion between Ryuuji and Terry which greatly amused me).

We've talked about the [livejournal.com profile] hogwarts_hocus ships we muns like. But what about our characters? Are they shippers? Oddly enough, some of mine are!

Stephen is a Ryuuji/Nightwing shipper. He's convinced that Ryuuji and Nightwing will one day wed for real, even though Ryuuji insists that it was all a plot by the French slash cultists.
He is also a Nny/Teatime shipper in that the very notion of Susan/Teatime would make him flip out.
And he is claiming to be a Gin/Byakuya shipper, even though he isn't one ;)

Paul Atreides is a Ryuuji/Terry shipper and is holding himself back from quoting many aphorisms on True Love only because it seems to make Terry go o_O. He's also a River/Stephen shipper.

Cooper, I'm beginning to think, is a Lupin/Jack Sparrow shipper! That pirate rum... And it's an h_h canonical fact that Cooper is a Real!Ron/Puppet!Ron shipper.

Do any of your characters have favorite ships? Or ships that they oppose?

No, I don't do anything special for Easter. Why do you ask? ;)

Major culture clash. Logan's all about the "mess with my womenfolk, and I'll take you down," but his first impulse is to beat the living hell out of his opponent. If he gets dragged off - and I do mean that literally - then he'll start plotting really sneaky, awful, underhanded revenge. With glee. Targeting their weakest points, and not caring too much who gets hurt along the way.

Logan doesn't worry too much about what's "right." He's got the people he looks out for, and doing that takes precedence over any external system of ethics. He can, occasionally, be brought to see he's being unnecessarily cruel or careless, but only by someone he trusts, and even then it's a struggle. And sometimes the anger takes over.

Poor woobie Logan. *patpat*

Fortunately, the Carrie sorting is probably the worst Maturin vs. Logan culture clash we'll have occasion to see, since I'm guessing River would have to give Logan some really deliberate encouragement for him to even seriously consider pursuing her.

There's the woobie, and then there's the OMG, kid, just...stop! Stop making things worse! In canon, especially, he's right on the edge of being a bad person, and he knows that, and hates it, but can't figure out how to make things better. And...yeah, back to the woobie again.

Definitely, yeah. Or if he had reason to think Maturin was mistreating or being unfaithful to her, then, yeah, the good doctor should watch his back. Not very likely at all. And actually, if he thought Stephen was cheating, what he'd do would be to let River know about it, and let her pound the stuffing out of him, or not, as she chose. Infidelity is despicable.
