I'll go with anon's vote of 9.5, though I'd attest that witticisms like 'as queer as a duck in pants,' 'gay as the day is long,' and 'gay as Christmas' usually hit the mark rather well. However, when it comes to the standards of science and quantification, they don't quite work.
