Flying

Unable to wait any longer now that everyone had agreed to go flying with him, Adam sent owls to Nny, Susan, River, Kaylee, Teatime, Harry, Ginny, and Devi to let them know that he'd gone down to the Quidditch pitch and to meet him there. He snatched his broom and practically ran down to the field, excited to meet new people and get into the air once again.

"Talking," Nny agreed uneasily, glancing at Adam and River. "I don't believe I got myself into this."

"What's wrong with it?"

"Too many people." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "It's uncomfortable."

"Ah, I see." Teatime smiled, shaking his head. "I rather think it's nice to have people around, personally, but..."

"Depends on the people." His gaze flickered toward the two Slytherins.

Teatime blinked. "Anyone in particular that you don't like, then?"

"I just... I was at their sortings. I wasn't impressed."

"Do you have any specific reasons you weren't impressed?"

"They both seemed awfully impressed with themselves. That tends not to impress me."

"Really? I didn't pay much attention to that. They were going to be Sorted as it was, after all...so I just focused on the longterm. I have a few ideas about how things could work out."

"Anything you'd like to share?"

"They don't have bad places in society. Mister Harry Potter is certainly quite famous...and I have a job in which I tend to notice fame."

"Yes, though I wouldn't debate on whether he's more useful dead or alive. That'd be so pointless."

"Well, let me know if you come up with anything concrete, but he just seemed annoying to me."

"I'll see about it, then." He nodded, grinning.

"And Susan actually showed up." He shook his head slightly. "I wasn't sure if she would."

"Odd, isn't it? She takes far too many risks, I'm sure."

"I'm sure you find her lapse in common sense horribly disappointing."
