Flying

Unable to wait any longer now that everyone had agreed to go flying with him, Adam sent owls to Nny, Susan, River, Kaylee, Teatime, Harry, Ginny, and Devi to let them know that he'd gone down to the Quidditch pitch and to meet him there. He snatched his broom and practically ran down to the field, excited to meet new people and get into the air once again.

"Really? I didn't pay much attention to that. They were going to be Sorted as it was, after all...so I just focused on the longterm. I have a few ideas about how things could work out."

"They don't have bad places in society. Mister Harry Potter is certainly quite famous...and I have a job in which I tend to notice fame."

"Yes, though I wouldn't debate on whether he's more useful dead or alive. That'd be so pointless."

"Well, let me know if you come up with anything concrete, but he just seemed annoying to me."

"I'll see about it, then." He nodded, grinning.

"And Susan actually showed up." He shook his head slightly. "I wasn't sure if she would."

"Odd, isn't it? She takes far too many risks, I'm sure."

"I'm sure you find her lapse in common sense horribly disappointing."

"Yes, I do. Unfortunate, really."

"Did she even know I'd be here? After how she ran out last time I turned up..."

"I didn't tell her that you'd be here specifically, just that a bunch of people would. And she knows we're friends."

"So it was her own lack of foresight? How horrible. Ah, well. Perhaps it's for the best?"

"You seem to do all right for yourself." He crossed his arms, forearms resting on his broomhandle, watching the others fly.

"I imagine you'd rather be planning than brooding."

"Always. What's the point of brooding? Nothing gets done."

"Optimist." Nny grinned at him. It was oddly reassuring to have Teatime being relentlessly cheerful again.
