When closets rebell ((Open RP, Great Hall))

There were things about this school that were beyond Kusuriyuri's dreams. That he'd find ones so precious to him as Kurama and his students was still surprising to him, still enough to bring a secret smile to his lips.

There were things about this school that were beyond baffling. The tendency for friends, enemies, and otherwise to show up and vanish with little notice, for one.

The fact that his closet refused to give him anything but a short black dress this morning was another. No matter where he looked in their apartment, he could not find his kimono or even any of Kurama's clothes to charm to fit him. It was the only clothing, aside from a black headscarf, he could find.

Believing his closet to be as perverse as the rest of this school, he also figured he wouldn't find his normal clothing until he'd been properly humiliated by wearing what his closet offered.

Boukensha looked at him in askance, but insisted on riding on his shoulder as he went to the Great Hall on his way to his office to study. He hoped that there would be few about as he left, but was sure that there was some perversion in the school that would cause his hope to be rendered into naught.

"The closet, however, would provide nothing else this morning. And, Shirogitsune would look well in the colors of earth and trees. The colors of flowers suit deshi better."

"I'm sure something could be found," Kurama said, instinctively reaching up to wipe at his nose and wincing when he jarred it too hard. "Ugh, uh, Yukimura might have something. He keeps teasing me about wearing furisode, anyway." He wouldn't put it past Yukimura to have found something for Kurama to wear 'just in case.'

Kusuriyuri frowned at Kurama, holding his hand away from his nose. "Baka na kitsune. Would you have me heal this first?" he asked. "Then, we shall visit Yukimura, if you desire. Though, furisode would not be the right thing for you, Itoshii," he said softly.

"Please," he said about the nose, and then stifled a laugh. "What do you think I'd look best in? A lanky mutant like myself doesn't often wear pretty things the right way."

"Shirogitsune is not a lanky mutant," Kusuriyuri protested. He raised enough energy to heal Kurama's nose, also pulling the kitsune's energy with his. When the bleeding had been stopped and most of the swelling was gone, he looked at Kurama, considering the question. "Perhaps hakuma and a haori? In brown and green?"

"Nothing to match your pretty dress?" He grinned, touching his nose tentatively. Much better. "I wouldn't argue against that, though. Maybe we can bribe him into finding something less... revealing for you as well."

"Should Itoshii wish to wear black?" Kusuriyuri asked solemnly. "And this one was of the belief that his clothing was troublesome," he added, continuing in a solemn vein.

Kurama tugged at one of the ribbons on Kusuriyuri's sleeve. "Now, don't get me wrong, you look lovely. The only problem is, everyone else can see and I don't like to share."

"Ah, so then it was the closet that denied this one his clothing this morning?" he asked.

"I kind of wish I could take credit for this one, but it's the closet's fault, this time."

Kusuriyuri smiled slightly at Kurama. "It is not terribly comfortable," he said. "However, we shall go to visit your samurai friend, then?" he asked, stepping back a little so Kurama could stand.

Kurama followed suit, scooping up Boukensha to tease the kitten, who batted at his chin with a paw. "Your comfort is more important than my amusement," Kurama said, quite honestly. "Besides, I think you look better when you're comfortable with what you wear, anyway."

Kusuriyuri smiled slightly at Kurama. "That is reassuring," he said. "This one would be concerned were he just an object for amusement. Though, perhaps to the prince, that is all he is," he added solemnly, reaching over to pet Boukensha.

"I doubt we'd be together still if that had ever been a consideration," Kurama said, lifting an eyebrow. "Something tells me you don't play that game, and I wouldn't want to."

"Itoshii is correct," Kusuriyuri replied. "Though, some amusement is to be had. If there cannot be joy, then can there be anything?" he asked, his hand resting on Kurama's arm.

"Nothing favorable," Kurama replied with a smile. As they walked, Kurama made sure to glare at the few students (no one he knew, just random kids milling about) paused to stare at Kusuriyuri, making sure it was the appropriate kind of 'back off' glare to send them scampering off. Yukimura was likely at the dojo, so that was the direction they walked.

"You could give this outfit to Matt," Kurama suggested. "After all, didn't he say something about wanting to wear a dress? Something just isn't right about that kid."

Kusuriyuri considered a moment. "That may be an idea. Unless the closet wishes to reclaim it for some reason."

"If the closet knows what's good for it, it'll give you your things back unless it wants to become a very large planter," Kurama muttered, stopping before the door of the dojo. "Would you like to wait? Yukimura likes to tease..."

Kusuriyuri smiled slightly. "And Itoshii would rather not be tested?" he asked softly, knowing that Yukimura's teasing was likely to bother Kurama in some way. "This one will wait," he murmured, reaching out to squeeze Kurama's fingers briefly.

He squeezed Kusuriyuri's hand back. "He's really good at getting under my skin," Kurama admitted, kissing Kusuriyuri's cheek and handing over Boukensha. "I'll be right back, then we can go play dress-up."

Then he went to the door of the dojo and knocked, rather than interrupt whatever Yukimura was up to.

Yukimura was practicing aiming wards around the dojo, a task which, at the moment, was more difficult than aiming arrows. He recalled them all to him before calling out cheerfully, "Come in." He had been told that the wards would warn him if they were near Karasu and since they didn't react, he figured the person on the other side of the door would be at least relatively safe.

Kurama looked in and greeted Yukimura with a wave. "Are you busy?"

"Just practicing," Yukimura said, holding up the wards. "I did not think I'd see you here today, though. To what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked with a laugh.

"I've actually come to ask a little favor," Kurama said, grinning a little sheepishly. "You, eh, wouldn't happen to have any more kimono on hand, would you?"

"For you?" Yukimura asked, his voice rippling with mirth. "I thought you told me you wouldn't wear one. Ah, but even still, I live in hope."
