Kurama looked in and greeted Yukimura with a wave. "Are you busy?"

"Just practicing," Yukimura said, holding up the wards. "I did not think I'd see you here today, though. To what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked with a laugh.

"I've actually come to ask a little favor," Kurama said, grinning a little sheepishly. "You, eh, wouldn't happen to have any more kimono on hand, would you?"

From:

"For you?" Yukimura asked, his voice rippling with mirth. "I thought you told me you wouldn't wear one. Ah, but even still, I live in hope."

From:

Kurama grimaced a little. "Hope makes the world go round, or something like that. For myself, and one for Kusuriyuri. Our wardrobe seems to be cursed today."

From:

Yukimura looked at Kurama. "My wardrobe contains several. Though," he paused a moment, considering the kitsune a long moment before continuing, "I've the feeling you'd rather not have me tag along for some reason."

"Kind of? You're already good enough at teasing, I wouldn't want to make things too easy for you." He smiled a little impishly. "If I promise to wear the kimono next time we have a drink, will that be an acceptable tradeoff?"

From:

Yukimura sighed, a put upon sound belied by the twinkling in his eyes. "If that is all I'm going to get out of this, I suppose it will have to do. You do know where my room is?"

From:

"Yes, and I do hate to put upon you so. Your grace in this matter is unrivaled by even the most pious of saints." Kurama said, partially failing at looking serious.

Yukimura snorted. "I believed you more before. Now, I am curious. Just how was your wardrobe cursed that you would resort to such nonsense? If you do not tell me, I shall follow you and find out."

From:

Kurama tisked, but decided it was better to explain some. "It's only giving out one article of clothing at a time, that belongs to neither myself nor Kusuriyuri, and isn't suited for everyday wear." Unless you were a particularly quirky girl, but that didn't count for either of them.

"Ah, well, since you are normally dressed, I would suppose it is withholding Kusuriyuri's garments, then. But, that doesn't tell me why you would desire a kimono for yourself," Yukimura teased.

From:

"For politeness' sake. If he has to endure looking silly for a little bit, then so will I."

From:

"You will hardly look foolish," Yukimura protested. "You underestimate yourself, an ability I did not think your kind possessed."

From:

Kurama rolled his eyes, but held up his hands in surrender. "Of course, of course. I'm sure I'll look fantastic. Does the explanation suit?"

From:

"It is sufficient," Yukimura said, waving Kurama away, laughing as he did so. "Quickly, before I am tempted to peek!"

"Thanks," Kurama laughed, ducking out the door and back to Kusuriyuri. Thank goodness Yukimura hadn't insisted on going with.

Kusuriyuri stood between a statue and a collumn, waiting for Kurama to reappear, not that he terribly minded what he was wearing, but he had caught the expressions Kurama had given the students they'd passed. "All is well?" he asked, stepping out of the shadows.

"He agreed, provided I wear the kimono next time we have a drink. Shall we?"

Boukensha eyed Kurama and then mewed, stretching out as he did. Kusuriyuri held out the kitten. "Indeed. He is not coming?" he asked solemnly.

From:

Kurama shook his head, taking Boukensha to rest on his own shoulder. "No, but he can be ruthless, so that's a good thing. we can find something quickly and go back to our room and change." He led the way towards Yukimura's room, down to Slytherin commons.

"This one thinks that changing may take more time than strictly required," Kusuriyuri said solemnly. "He doubts Shirogitsune is busy enough to allow him to dress himself."

"That is so," Kurama said, matching Kusuriyuri's solemn tone. The tone, however, completely belied the little smile that was twitching at the corner of his mouth. "As it happens, Shirogitsune has no commitments other than Moujuutsukai-san."
