From Aayla, there are a bowl of fortune cookies under a tiny Christmas tree in the Gryffindor common room, with "Merry Christmas - From Aayla Secura" on the bowl. The fortune cookies are not cursed, drugged, or in any way tampered with--they just have happy messages inside.

((And because I think it's hilarious, the voices of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda from Star Wars: The Clone Wars did their own version of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas this year. Obi-Wan, Cad Bane, and Ziro doing How The Grinch Stole Christmas last year was pretty fun, too!))

It's funny what happens when you have a room that allows you to get anything you want. Funny, as in crazy things happen.

Thus, Francium thought of his friends. He wanted to talk to the other Periodics again. Unfortunately, when he thought of element names, he was referring to the horses, but the room thought he meant the actual elements. Science was a different place from wherever Hogwarts was. When he barged into the room, there was, basically, fire and boom. Tip: do not add alkali metals to, well, anything. Do not add extremely radioactive materials to said alkali metals. And you certainly don't surround that whole thing with chlorine and other reactive vapors. And you REALLY certainly don't summon a lump of nuclear fuel close to that big mess.

The room of requirement would erupt in an intense flash of white light and fire, with the resulting smoke cloud dissipating into a eerie blue glow, sticking to the walls and ceiling. Francium himself took no damage: he had prepared for an attack by Tungsten or something if the room had extrapolated, thus was in gaseous phase at the time. Among the glowing smoke, silver whispers of vapor coalesced into the form of the giant horse, who eventually switched back into his standard form, the tough, reflective body of a stallion. A very embarrassed stallion.

"Do I fix this?" he muttered, stepping over some chunked-up floor fragments.

((Though I use 'he' Apos is actually a hermaphrodite. But since he seems to identify and dress like a male, I've decided to use it in narration. His voice, similarly, sounds male.))

A blond haired young man wearing black wandered in through the door of the sorting room, carrying a wicker basket of blue orbs in one hand, and a broad sword in the other. The blue orbs seemed to have something within their cores shifting, twining endlessly, as they radiated light.

He looked around, clearly amused at his surroundings, and then came to a stop at the desk. He took a seat on the chair, placed the wicker basket on the table beside the parchment and the floating quill.

He read.

((OOC: As stated before, you don't really have to sign up to participate, nor do you have to have been involved in prior classes. If the hexagrams or trigrams do not show up for you, I am sorry, but I'm not sure which coding needs to be enabled to allow that [for me, I can see both fine at home, but at work I can't see the hexagrams, but then, I also use different operating systems and my home system is set up so I can switch languages]. One of the pages I'm linking to has pictures of the hexagrams, so don't worry too much if you see weird symbols that apparently have nothing to do with the lesson [question marks, boxes with weird things in them, however your browser/system renders them]. So, yeah, basically weird encoding warning ;) )).

Kusuriyuri knelt before the class, watching as the students filed in. On each table was a small bag containing three round coins with square holes in them as well as a blank handout. At the end of the lesson, it would show the meanings of the sixty-four hexagrams made from the eight trigrams written on the board. He watched the students as they alternately toyed with the coins and paper or simply sat, waiting.

((OOC: As stated in the reminder post, feel free to RP in this or start your own threads. Some of the poems wander into questionable for work anyway, so we'll just call the whole post not quite work safe and feel free to take things as far as you'd like in here or into your own threads if you want. Yukimura-mun, Kuronue-mun, and Kurama-mun all had a hand in the poetry and if you really want to know, PM one of us and we can tell you who wrote what. Otherwise, the whole point of this is to laugh....which means, really, you shouldn't have things in your mouth when reading the poems. :D If you want a reminder of who asked for what, it's here. ))

Decorations appeared, pink and frilly with an occasional burst of red and tiger-y for the myriad of students who would be celebrating the Lunar New Year. Normally, they would not have bothered with the New Year, but it fell on the same day, so the decorations came across as incidental rather than deliberate. Streamers and unpopable bubbles floated around the Great Hall and those elves tapped to deliver messages. Enthusiasm was something they all possessed in abundance; talent, not so much. Just who had set them up for this or why remained a mystery they would not divulge. Each recipient was found and serenaded, with no respect to any form of musicality, wherever they happened to be at the time.

In one remote corner of the hospital he had set up a bunch of mirrors reflecting each other, a small supply of potions and other worryingly fragile glass devices. This boded badly.

He really should have known better than to talk to Seaborgium. Right below that rogue Tungsten, and more than ten times as elusive. And really, it shouldn't have been suprising that the Periodic wound up in unfamiliar territory when following him around, and then being left. Francium stepped forward a few feet, carefully shying away from any humans or monsters. Normally monsters never made it past the parenthesis or whatever they were called, so getting back to the forest shouldn't be that hard.

But despite keeping distance, the silver horse would undoubtedly attract attention. For one, he could readily be described as humongous, much larger than the most impressive stallions. He was like two ponies stacked on top of each other, really, and every hoofbeat made the floor beneath him creak. Anyone turning to look could also see the big black Fr on one side of him, and that his flesh rippled like a pool of water.

Upon reaching a table, the horse peered down at the floating quill. "I don't like this place," he stated matter-of-factly. Yes, it could talk. His front legs bent so he could get a closer look at the quill, which seemed to be transcribing what he said. Huh. And what was this application thing?

Francium decided to give it a shot. maybe this would make the human scientists finally get a visible sample of his element.
