Recovery (closed, Kusuriyuri/Kurama, likely NSFW)

Hands charred, nasty gash on the chest, various wounds from fire and shrapnel littering his face and arms... Kurama certainly did not look like the epitome of health. He didn't feel like it either, but managed to not limp in view of anyone as he made his way to the rooms he and Kusuriyuri shared.

Even though he felt like he'd taken a stroll through the London Blitz, it wasn't his health he was concerned about. He could smell Kusuriyuri's blood thicker here, but he could also hear the cats, and Kusuriyuri speaking to them softly. With that small relief, he pushed the door open with his shoulder, sliding in and leaning against the door as it closed again with a little sigh.

"Koi," he said softly, keeping the rage at his old foe at bay until he could get the scope of the situation, "please tell me Karasu didn't actually blow your leg off."

"Taking into context that time you painted me..." he laughed. "But really, Koibito. Must you always tease me? Pitiful, sad fox all banged up, who only wants to be sweet to his poor, injured lover..."

"If Itoshii truly objected to being teased, he would have said something much earlier," Kusuriyuri said solemnly. "Itoshii's joy is in trying to inspire symapathy, or, failing that, desire," he added dryly.

"I like to keep in practice. Though if you like I could try inspiring terror and obedience?" He blinked innocently at Kusuriyuri, leaning back on his elbows. "Or fear and loathing?"

"Terror? Fear? Itoshii thinks he could inspire this one to such?" Kusuriyuri asked, his tone utterly dry and bland as he looked at Kurama deadpan.

Kurama looked up at the ceiling, tilting his head from side to side. "Mmm, good point. Probably not. So I have to at least try for the desire. That one's easy."

Taking a drink of water, Kusuriyuri set the cup to the side. "Is Itoshii recovered enough to strive for desire?" he asked solemnly. He was of the opinion that Kurama would have to be seriously ill or injured to not try.

He thought about that a second, sat up, and moved his torso around a little bit. Not too much pain, a little sting if hie bent forward too far, but nothing horrible. He flopped back onto the bed, and held his arms out to Kusuriyuri, wiggling his fingers and grinning stupidly.

"Couldn't hurt to try."

"Is Itoshii sure?" Kusuriyuri asked, taking one of Kurama's hands into his own. "This one wouldn't want to be a burden to him, after all."

"When are you ever a burden?" he laughed, pulling Kusuriyuri down into his arms. "Besides, I hear that sex is just as strong a medicine as strict bedrest."

"Itoshii knows medicine now?" Kusuriyuri asked, taking care how his legs moved as they still hurt. "Where is it he learned?" he continued, holding his head up to look at Kurama.

"I... may have sneaked a peek at a few of those books in your bottom drawer," he admitted. He rested his hands on Kusuriyuri's waist, mentally grumbling that the bandages kind of ruined the effect of being able to fondle bare skin.

Kusuriyuri raised an eyebrow. "Ah, Itoshii is sneaking now?" he asked, his voice full of solemn surprise.

Kurama looked at him with mock disdain. "I have a reputation to uphold! Greatest thief in the Makai and stuff."

"Greatest? In the Makai?" Kusuriyuri asked, something bordering on amusement and shock in his voice. "Is that so?" He tilted his head slightly. "Then, that must explain it..."

"That's what they said, anyway," he snickered. "Mostly just to my face when I was about to... wait, explains what?"

Kusuriyuri's eyebrows went up. "Saa," he murmured, a teasing smile playing with his lips. "Do you not know?" he asked, mock surprise lacing through his voice.

"I..." his mouth worked a moment, and then he glared, though without much heat, which made it more of a pout. "Stop messing with my insecurities."

"Itoshii has insecurities?" Kusuriyuri asked with further mock surprise. "Ah, that is something this one didn't know," he murmured, leaning down a little. "If Itoshii thinks, he will understand," he whispered, brushing his lips against Kurama's.

"I don't have enough blood in me to supply both ends at the moment," he said, leaning up to catch more of that kiss. "So I'm going to assume that me being a horrid sneakthief is one of the things you really, really like about me."

"It would be why you have me," Kusuriyuri said dryly then leaned down to continue the kiss. His legs still hurt, but being with Kurama made the need for touch, for intimacy, more important than avoiding pain.

"Did I have to steal your heart, Koibito?" He laughed softly, shifting so Kusuriyuri wouldn't have to put so much pressure on his legs. He traced the familiar lines of Kusuriyuri's back, the ghost of pressure beyond his bandages somehow just as nice as touching bare skin.

"Have to? Saa? Did you?" Kusuriyuri chuckled. He considered asking Kurama if he was sure he was up to anything, but he knew kitsune found intimacy healing. Instead, he leaned down for a slightly deeper kiss.

I thought I was the one who had been tamed first, he sent, talking now less of a priority than kissing. Surely I'm not that charming.

I made no effort to tame you. You made an effort for me, Kusuriyuri teased. His fingers slid along Kurama's skin, tangling in his hair again. I accept you as you are, as you long to be, as you have been. To me, if Itoshii is happy, then it is good.

For making no effort, you did a damn good job. He shifted slightly, shivering just a little when Kusuriyuri's nails scraped just so lightly against the base of his ears. I'm happy, as long as you're here.
