Recovery (closed, Kusuriyuri/Kurama, likely NSFW)

Hands charred, nasty gash on the chest, various wounds from fire and shrapnel littering his face and arms... Kurama certainly did not look like the epitome of health. He didn't feel like it either, but managed to not limp in view of anyone as he made his way to the rooms he and Kusuriyuri shared.

Even though he felt like he'd taken a stroll through the London Blitz, it wasn't his health he was concerned about. He could smell Kusuriyuri's blood thicker here, but he could also hear the cats, and Kusuriyuri speaking to them softly. With that small relief, he pushed the door open with his shoulder, sliding in and leaning against the door as it closed again with a little sigh.

"Koi," he said softly, keeping the rage at his old foe at bay until he could get the scope of the situation, "please tell me Karasu didn't actually blow your leg off."

I thought I was the one who had been tamed first, he sent, talking now less of a priority than kissing. Surely I'm not that charming.

I made no effort to tame you. You made an effort for me, Kusuriyuri teased. His fingers slid along Kurama's skin, tangling in his hair again. I accept you as you are, as you long to be, as you have been. To me, if Itoshii is happy, then it is good.

For making no effort, you did a damn good job. He shifted slightly, shivering just a little when Kusuriyuri's nails scraped just so lightly against the base of his ears. I'm happy, as long as you're here.

Enjoying the reaction he received, Kusuriyuri brushed his nails against Kurama's ears again. Itoshii allowed himself to tamed, he pointed out gently. I am pleased Itoshii is happy, he purred.

It was that or not have you, he shuddered, trying to grin and kiss at the same time. It was an interesting experiment. His hands slid down Kusuriyuri's back, the pressure light. I think I chose right.

Itoshii, Kusuriyuri murmured. He turned his attention to drawing more of those pleasured shudders out of his lover, finding that more rewarding at the moment than conversing.

Hardly able to argue, Kurama very willingly gave up to sensation, writhing contentedly under the ministrations of Kusuriyuri's hands. There were certain and obvious benefits for having such a dexterous lover.

Kusuriyuri's hands moved down Kurama's body slowly. His legs wouldn't take his weight to allow him to move down, but he was perfectly content to continue kissing Kurama, sure that when the kitsune was ready for more, he'd move them.

Moving was an unavoidable eventuality; Kurama gave in and turned, ever careful of Kusuriyuri's injured legs, so they could face each other on the bed. "Tell me if you're uncomfortable," he murmured, reluctant to break the kiss, but too distracted to think words. Somehow, talking was easier than actually using his brain.

Kusuriyuri's hands moved back to Kurama's hair, to his scalp and neck, up to his ears, down his shoulders. "Itoshii is gentle," he said though it took a moment before his legs stopped throbbing at the movement.

"'m learning, anyway," he murmured. He tilted his head, nibbling lightly on Kusuriyuri's ear. "Rather not hurt you, if I had a choice."

"I know," Kusuriyuri murmured. He tilted his head to allow Kurama to continue to play with his ear. His hands skimmed down Kurama's back, his nails scraping gently along Kurama's spine.

Kurama shivered, arching to the touch with a little moan of pleasure. Even if this was as far as they got for now, between their injuries and the still lingering dullness of the painkillers, it was plenty good for him, just to be able to touch and kiss, tasting along Kusuriyuri's pulse. He wouldn't object to more, of course.

Pleased with the reactions he elicited and the ones Kurama elicited from him, Kusuriyuri moaned softly, continuing to seek out sensitive areas on Kurama's body, encouraging him to take what he needed.

There was a difference in situations like these between the daydream idea of what they could be doing together and the absolute necessity of making daydream ideas reality.

Kurama turned again, so Kusuriyuri was under him, one finger hooking into the obi of his underkimono.

"I'd like to see more of you," he murmured, "so I can see where I need to kiss and make better, yes?"

Kusuriyuri's expression was as solemn as he could make it with his face flushed from their kissing and touching thus far. "As Itoshii's hands are injured, this time, this one shall undo the obi," he teased. He worked the knot open and pulled the fabric out from under him, letting his kimono fall open as it willed.

"Always so helpful," he chuckled, tracing bandaged fingers over Kusuriyuri's stomach. He couldn't stand the look of bruises and burns on his lover's skin, bending to kiss the ones he could see, wishing there really was a magical cure-all in the action.

Kusuriyuri caressed Kurama's hair and ears, knowing his lover was upset, encouraging him to take what comfort he needed. "This one does attempt to be," he said, his voice soft. Very gently, he encouraged Kurama's energy to begin to dance with his, not as deeply or fully as they usually danced, but a sharing that would help them both.

Kurama rested his cheek on Kusuriyuri's stomach, smiling up at him while energy swam quietly around them.
"You're so comfortable," he murmured, tracing abstract patterns on Kusuriyuri's skin.

Kusuriyuri caressed Kurama's hair. "If this one did not know better, he would think Itoshii thought him a futon," he said, his voice soft and solemn. "This one is not able for more just now, energy wise, but a little is good, yes?"

"You can't do that with a futon," he murmured, eyes closed, more focused on Kusuriyuri's fingers in his hair, and the skin under his hands. "Anything is good."

Kusuriyuri continued to caress Kurama's hair, his ears. "Itoshii," he murmured softly. "Your hands? How do they feel?" he asked.

"Trying not to think about them," he admitted, clenching one fist experimentally. The pain wasn't excruciating, but it wasn't pleasant, either. "To touch is good. More might be too much."

"What is needed is offered," Kusuriyuri murmured, his fingers slipping down to Kurama's neck. "Anything Itoshii needs, it will be given," he murmured softly.

"I just need you, Koi," Kurama murmured. He tilted his head and placed a soft kiss on Kusuriyuri's stomach, lingering maybe a little longer than was strictly chaste. "And knowing you're all right."
