"The way I look after Schrodinger and Einstein?" If L thinks so highly of Matt, then clearly Matt is an excellent person and well suited to taking loving care of a puppy.
"Yeah." Matt smiles. "Dunno how he feels about dogs, though."
Getting into the pub might be kind of tricky, but luckily there's no need to turn a handle; shouldering the door is enough to get it open. Matt uses his foot to keep it open enough for A to get past.
"Here's hoping. Maybe they'll be friends."
Koopa's younger than both kittens, and probably little smaller than Schrodinger if not Einstein. It might work.
Trickier is getting the floo powder out and into the fire, but somehow they manage it, and then they're both in the Ravenclaw common room. A looks around.
"We should move quickly. It would be nice to be able to surprise him."
"Right, then." Matt's a little impressed by how smoothly they managed to emerge from the fireplace, considering all their burdens. There's some distressed puppy noises coming from Koopa's box, though.
"You can let him out while I start setting up the aquarium." Not something he's ever done, but he has the book to tell him what to do. "He can meet the kittens."
The wagging, of course, might as well be a magnet. A small white streak darts across the room, and suddenly two little white paws are batting eagerly at the moving, fluffy tail.
Matt sits close-by (he'll help if A asks him to, really) and watches, ready to intervene if necessary. Koopa has lept back a little, but is already taking a few steps forward again, tail wagging; he is nothing if not persistent.
"I don't know what dogs are like," A says with mild consternation. But he's trying not to laugh as well, as Einstein takes his turn leaping at the puppy's tail.
Koopa yelps, spinning around and cocking his head at this newcomer. Einstein is quite serene about letting him approach and sniff curiously at him, and doesn't even object to a puppy-lick.
Of course, this means that Koopa has taken his eyes off Schrodinger.
Before A can open his mouth to agree, Schrodinger pounces again on that oh-so-temping puppy tail... and when Koopa turns to look, Einstein leaps onto his back and starts licking his head.
"Looks like it," Matt grins. The three of them have turned into a yelping, pouncing, jumping bundle of fluff, and Matt is looking very entertained. "I hope I'll be able to extract him to take him back to my room."
"We can lure them into separate corner with bits of sausage," A suggests.
The puppy-and-kitten antics provide a good deal of distraction, but eventually the aquarium is set up, the three fish swimming briskly in their new home.
A, of course, knows L and Kusuriyuri's knocks, and that's definitely L's. "Stand in front of..." he points to the fishtank, as he opens the door slowly.
"We were going to have to look for you, A says with an excited smile.
"Uh," Matt says, grinning. He's managed to get in front of the tank just in time, holding Koopa in his hands, and the husky is taking the opportunity to lick at what's visible of Matt's face. "Yeah. This is Koopa."
He looks to A to announce the presence of Team Rocket.

"And Koopa seems very happy. I think he is as good at being happy as Schrodinger is."
High praise!

"Heya boy," Matt laughs.
