"Let's do that," L suggests, "and bring him too, so he has a bit of a chance to explore without being pounced on."
Cute as he's being with the kitten, the puppy will eventually loose patience and L doesn't want to see that happen. For Koopa's sake; Schrodinger would probably kick his ass if he got uppity.
He nods, and they get the tank to its new location without incidence. Matt steals a swift, chaste kiss before presenting him with the bag from the candy store.
"Couldn't let A be the only one getting you something," he says, with a small grin. "Enjoy."
L steals a swifter, far-from-chaste kiss, dropping the bag onto the dresser and winding a quick hand in Matt's hair for a three second hello-there kiss.
Before pulling back, with a butter wouldn't melt in my mouth expression, and skittering away to go back to the room where A's dogsitting Koopa.
A doesn't even notice, actually. He's on his back on the floor, arms flailing, his face being enthusiastically licked by Koopa (he's got his eyes tightly shut to protect them, Einstein standing on his belly and kneading, and Schrodinger worrying his ankles with her sharp little teeth.
It didn't take them long to become co-conspirators.
"Now, then," L laughs, going to scoop up Schrodinger, who's likely the most serious culprit, "what's this? What are the three of you doing to dear A? Most ill-mannered of you."
"Koopa! Come on, boy, there's more fun things to play with than A's face." Matt crouches next to A, putting his hands on the puppy's sides to turn him around.
When Koopa sees that there's another friend to play with, he barks again, and launches himself at Matt instead. Matt laughs and lets himself fall backwards.

Date: 2008-05-03 12:51 am (UTC)Matt thinks L's suggestion of giving Koopa a chance to look around without getting pounced on by kittens is a good one.
He makes his way to the side of the tank (bag of candy still held under one arm) and grabs hold.

Date: 2008-05-03 02:06 am (UTC)Maybe A would be okay with them holding hands. He'd coped fairly well with Matt receiving a backrub, after all.

"When did our corridor turn into a petting zoo?"
