(( RP for Nessarose and Elphaba starts here in the comments! ))

Fiyero had intended to wait a few days longer to tell Nessarose and Galinda of his discovery, both to give Elphaba time after the bodyswitching incident and to make the good news something of a holiday gift. While it is not a holiday he celebrates at home, though there is something similar in Oz, he has effectively gotten into the Christmas spirit and even added to the surprise with actual gifts. However, his and his mun's impatience won out over intent and the following notes and packages go out now rather than two days from now on Christmas Eve.

Dear Nessarose,

As I promised at my Sorting, I'm writing to let you know I have found Elphaba for certain. The details how are a very strange story, but I have drawn you a map to where her room is in Ravenclaw.

While I'm certain the news is the better present for this Christmas holiday they celebrate here, I hope you enjoy the additional gift.

- Fiyero Tiggular

The owl bears a gift box along with the note and a small hand-drawn map showing where Elphaba's room is located in Ravenclaw. The box contains a white gold and sapphire bracelet, the sapphires formed into the shape of small flowers with small diamonds as their centers.

Sarah,

Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction to finding the sorting records and for the lesson recently on concealment charms. Hopefully, I won't have to use any of it, but I appreciate your patience in teaching me. Please accept this gift with my thanks.

- Fiyero

While they are not as beautiful as you, I hope you enjoy the gifts.

The owl bears a large box wrapped like this, containing four smaller boxes wrapped much the same. In the four boxes are two similarly-styled diamond necklaces and two diamond bracelets that match the necklaces.

Elphaba was reading when the owl landed next to her. "Go away." She scolded softly. When the insistant owl didn't shoo, she irritably took the box and note from him.

"Damned fool bird found the wrong room." She sighed as she opened the note. Her eyes scanned it, darkening as something fragile passed over her face for a moment before it returned to normal. "Well, someone's having a merry Christmas. Let's see what she's getting."

She opened the large box, an amused expression appearing on her face as she discovered the smaller boxes. When she had opened all of them to reveal the gorgeous necklace and bracelet sets in two different settings she gasped softly. She got a flashback of her brief time in Fiyero Tiggular's body, of the blue diamonds on his skin. This had to be some sort of...sign from him. From Fiyero. She had never gotten a present like this before, and few presents in her entire life, that for a moment her fingers just touched the jewelry gently, afraid of somehow breaking it. Why on earth would Fiyero buy her something like that? And the note...unless...unless it wasn't for her.

She frowned, considering for a brief moment sending it back so that it could go to its true recipient. But then, of course there was the chance tht this wasn't some sort of cruel mistake, that Fiyero had meant to send her these, had meant to send her the note callinng her beautiful. Deciding on cautious optimism, she took out the set in yellow gold and fastened them on herself, carefully setting the other set and the boxes on her dresser. She would ask Fiyero about it later.

Master Fiyero,

I don't know how I can ever

This is the best

This is the first

Thank you so much for the bracelet! It's beautiful, and I'm wearing it as I write. Forgive me if I seem to have my priorities out of order, but I'm not sure exactly how I can possibly thank you for finding Elphaba. The gift that I have included is definitely not enough. If you ever need anything that I can supply, do not hesitate to ask!

Yours sincerely,
Nessarose

Included is a plate of homemade cookies (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/stupid_laura/suckcookies.gif). Aww. Unfortunately, Nessa is no cook, and the taste is not so good. Also included is a blue men's watch (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/stupid_laura/fiyerowatch.jpg).

Yes, I'd love to have a new scene where Nessa finds Elphaba. Don't worry if she's a little less than friendly at first, she'll warm up. She still believes that she wasn't a bit lonely hiding out all this time (and I know she's in denial)

Yaaay. Unfriendly!Elphaba is fun. :D Should I make a new post on the community, or start a new thread on this post? I don't want to spam Fiyero-mun's inbox with our RPness if she doesn't want us to.

After sending her letter to Fiyero (http://community.livejournal.com/hogwarts_hocus/1061340.html?thread=53355996#t53355996), Nessa set off, map in hand, to find Elphaba. She wasn't familiar with the Ravenclaw dormitories, but she figured that they couldn't be that different from Hufflepuff's. And she did have a map...

It wasn't too long before she arrived at the room specified on the map. She hesitated a bit at the door. It had been so long since she'd seen her sister. What if Elphaba had...changed? What if she didn't like Nessa any more?

Well, she'd never know until she tried. Nessa knocked tentatively on the door. "Elphaba?"

Date: 2006-12-23 05:23 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
Elphaba had been laying on the bed, reading a thick book. She looked much the same as she would have to Galinda and Nessa, her thick black hair in two plain braids and her book clutched in her hands. She froze, however, when she heard the knock and her sister's unmistakable voice on the other side of the door. For one moment she considered pretending she wasn't there. She had the perfect chance to hide here at Hogwarts, and now it was ruined.

Except that there was a bit of excitement there, as though she had really missed her sister. Perhaps she had.

Sighing softly she went to the door, opening it. She was acting as though this was just another day, as though she had seen her sister only yesterday. "Nessa..." She said calmly. "Come in."

Date: 2006-12-23 05:36 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
Nessa's spirits sank a little. Oh dear. Elphaba was acting as if nothing had happened. Was she angry with Nessa? Had she been hiding all that time because she just didn't want to see her sister? In any case, Nessa did as she was told, and followed Elphaba into the room.

"I missed you so much," Nessa said shakily, after a brief, awkward silence. "Have you been...enjoying yourself here?"

Date: 2006-12-23 05:40 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
The shaky way that Nessa said she had missed Elphaba made her feel a bit of regret. Perhaps she should have looked up Nessa and Galinda before this, but it was too late for regrets now. SHe just had to move on.

"I..." Green cheeks lit with a flash of pink as she blushed softly. "I missed you too. I've been reading up on magic since I came, trying to learn what I could, but I fear I've gotten nowhere."

Date: 2006-12-23 05:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
Elphaba had blushed. That was encouraging. "You've probably gotten farther than I have," Nessa replied, with a little smile. "They don't hold classes very often here, and we didn't do much in the classes that I went to. I used to spend time in the library, but lately I've been...busy." Busy going to Sortings and being switched into Miss Camilla's body was what she meant, but she didn't know exactly how to explain all that had happened.

Date: 2006-12-23 05:56 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
"As have I." Elphaba said softly. She briefly considered telling them of her body switching with Fiyero, but decided against it at the last moment. She wasn't quite sure why, but something about telling Galinda and Nessa about how she had been Fiyero Tiggular for an entire day was somewhat unnerving.

"I have been a little reclusive since I came." She admitted, though that was clearly the understatement of the century.

Date: 2006-12-23 06:02 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
Nessa had to refrain from breaking into giggles at Elphaba's last remark. "The people here are quite nice," she told her sister. "It's like...everyone is from some different world, or another time period. It's about as different from Shiz as it's possible to get."

Date: 2006-12-23 06:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
Elphaba wasn't sure whether the fact that Hogwarts was different than Shiz was something to be embraced or not, but it was a fact, none the less. "I found some spells." She said, her voice low. "It's entirely possible to hide completely here." She wasn't sure why she was confessing to how she had hid from them, but she was. "I actually found on that made my green skin disappear, but only for a few minutes."

Date: 2006-12-23 06:26 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
Nessa's eyes went wide. Degreenification, even for a few minutes, was possible? "Oh, Elphaba, you did? That's..." Something about calling it "wonderful" seemed inappropriate. "...incredible." She paused before speaking again. "Actually, I was able to walk for a day recently. I'm not sure what caused it, though."

Date: 2006-12-24 05:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
"Walk?" Elphaba questioned, eyes wide with disbelief. "Oh, Nessa, that's..." she too paused. Calling it "wonderful" sounded cruel. "We'll figure it out." She said firmly. This place was magical, somehow giving them, even if briefly, means to achieve their grandest dreams. She would find an answer somewhere in the library, or she would die trying.

Date: 2006-12-24 06:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
"I'll help you!" Nessa said passionately. "I spend a lot of time in the library, though probably not as much as you. We have a lot of free time, especially since it's holiday time." It was partly selfishness, to get back to that feeling she'd had walking around in Miss Camilla's body, but another part of her really did want to help her sister in this endeavor. And the non-selfish part was probably going to win out, as it sometimes did.

Date: 2006-12-24 06:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
"Since I've already found a spell to take away this..." She motioned helplessly at her green hand "for a few minutes, we'll focus on your spell at first. I'm pretty sure that I will need a stronger spell to take it away permanantly, but what I have will be enough for now." She was quite excited, more excited than she had been in a long time. She and Nessa were quite different, but they would make a good team. Certainly together they could find the answers they wanted so much.

Date: 2006-12-25 01:35 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
Nessa hesitated. Elphaba had only been degreenified for a few minutes, and Nessa had gotten to walk all day. It seemed that the fair situation would be to work on the spell for Elphaba first.

But Elphaba was older than she was, and she'd researched these spells more. She probably knew what she was doing. "Okay!" Nessa said cheerfully. "How shall we begin?"

Date: 2006-12-25 01:40 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
"We'll go to the library tomorrow." She blushed slightly. It was hard to admit such things when she prided herself on her freedom and her ability to be just fine on her own without others around her, but Nessa deserved to know. "I have looked through part of the books already, looking for a cure for the both of us, and I haven't found much. I am certain however, something is there."

Date: 2006-12-26 06:29 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickednessa.livejournal.com
Nessa couldn't help but smile. Elphaba always knew what she was doing. She always had a plan. It was so wonderful to have her back! "Okay, the library!" It was research time.

Galinda gets lost on a regular basis, and this is no exception. She comes up the hallway to the door, mumbling something about the staircases having a very nasty sense of humor. She stops in front of the open door, still staring at the piece of paper in her hand. When she looks up, she freezes for a moment, eyes wide.

"Elphie," she whispers, just loud enough to be heard by the two sisters. "Oh, Elphaba. I missed you."

Date: 2006-12-23 05:43 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
Elphaba was so distracted with Nessa's arrival that she didn't notice Galinda come for a moment. It was the sound of her voice, the voice that was Galinda's alone, that made Elphaba turn he rhead.

"Galinda..." She gasped. She was a bit shocked to be seeing them both at once, or to be seeing anyone from her world. Seeing Fiyero had been different, as he had been in her body at the time, this was entirely different. She felt guilt for hiding from them, but at the same time she longed to hide again. This was the beginning of the end, of being known as the green girl again.

"Come in." She said softly. "Have you seen Nessa since...since you were taken here?"

Date: 2006-12-23 06:09 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] msgalindaupland.livejournal.com
Galinda smiles at her. It feels good to see Elphaba again, even if things seem just a bit strained.

"A few times. This is a strange place, though, and I've been a bit distracted lately. There are so many things that are different from home."

Date: 2006-12-23 06:13 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
Elphaba nodded, ushering Galinda into the room. To have them both here now was odd, it made the guilt that much more acute, guilt that she hadn't felt before now. "I'm sorry." ehs said after a moment. "I shouldn't have left you there when we went to see the Wizard, and I should have started looking for you two before now." That was not to say that she intended to keep in touch with them now. SHe was still half entertaining the thought of disappearing again, but at the very least they now knew that she was here at Hogwarts, and safe.

Date: 2006-12-23 06:19 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] msgalindaupland.livejournal.com
Galinda impulsively embraces her. It's wonderful to know she's alright, that the Wizard didn't catch up with her, that she's here and even if she goes back into her seclusion she's going to be safe. "Don't be sorry, Elphie. The past is just that: past. Don't worry about it."

Date: 2006-12-23 06:26 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
For the first moment of Galinda's impulsive embrace Elphaba froze. She wasn't used to people hugging her like that too often, and particularly not with so little warning. However, there was something well intentioned about Galinda that made her relax, and even timidly pat Galinda's back.

"Do you enjoy this place?" She asked quietly, trying to change the subject as she pulled away.

Date: 2006-12-23 10:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] msgalindaupland.livejournal.com
Galinda realizes just a little too late that that might have been a bad idea when Elphaba stiffens. Oops.

"It's been...different. The people are nice, but some things still shock me sometimes, like the ghosts. The first time I saw one walk through a wall I almost fainted."

Date: 2006-12-24 06:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
"Ghosts?" Elphaba asked, clearly interested. Everything in this place was so differnt than the home that she knew, but it was fascinating. "I would love to meet one." She made a mental note to look up some of the ghosts of the castle at her next available chance.

"What about Fiyero?" Elphaba asked casually. "Have you two talked much?"

Date: 2006-12-24 07:01 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] msgalindaupland.livejournal.com
Galinda nods. "Real ones, too, not the visual tricks like the people at the fairs at home would do. I've spoken to a few of them, and they're rather nice for the most part, but some of them scare me."

"Actually, I haven't seen much of him lately. He came here after I did, but we haven't had much time to talk to each other. He's busier than I am, and our schedules seem to be massively different. I miss him sometimes."

Date: 2006-12-24 07:07 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wickedly-tragic.livejournal.com
Elphaba's hand went to touch the necklace, which was resting under the collar of her robes. She was tempted for a moment to give it to Galinda, as clearly she was the "beautiful" one that Fiyero knew, but selfishly she resisted.

"You'll have to show me around." She said, looking a bit surprised at herself to be volunteering herself for more social situations. She wanted to hide here alone, or so she thought. She didn't let herself believe that she had missed having others around her. "Introduce me to all of the good ghosts and things that are real here."

Yero, it's so pretty! Thank you! And thank Oz Elphie's alright, I was getting worried about her. She is alright, isn't she? Not hurt or...or anything? I think it might be a good idea to let her sister find her first, though; Nessa must know better than I how to, ah, deal with Elphie if she's in a mood.
