((Cthulhu will be manifesting as Cthulhoo from the Unspeakable Vault of Doom- same aeon-old god-like horror from the stars, only more cracky and conversational. Smaug brought a sacrifice, so I couldn't resist pulling the Great Old One from his popcorned state. Although he won't be 'living' at Hogwarts, he's not repopping, and will visit on occasion, especially if summoned/called. Which, in his UVOD manifestation, is very easy. No need to reply to him, as, he's just popping in to grab some sacrifices- it seemed easier for keeping track of thing to post it as its own backdated post than to unpop him inside of another thread.))

Somewhere in the South Pacific ocean, around 47 degrees S, 126 degrees W, lies the sunken city of R'lyeh. This ancient, non-Euclidean city of cyclopean proportions has existed since the days when the Earth was still young, before Earthly life had even set foot upon soil of the continents. When R'lyeh was built, no Earthly creatures had feet- even fins were a development still in the works. This of course did not mean that nothing had set foot on land- for, in these days, Earth harbored advanced life from elsewhere. The Elder Things had a thriving civilization on the continent that would eventually slip to the southern pole and freeze. And, the Star Spawn dwelt in R'lyeh with their master, Cthulhu. Although these creatures had shape, they were not made of matter as it is usually understood, and when "They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live. But although They no longer lived, They would never really die." When the stars had been right, Great Cthulhu and his Star Spawn had traveled through the cosmic voids to Earth, but, eventually, the stars had stopped being right. And so, Cthulhu and his Star Spawn remain in R'lyeh, dreaming and waiting for the stars to be right once more, at which time, Cthulhu and his Star Spawn will rise once more, and will find mankind delicious.
