Emergency hiatus

Due to work + school + everything at once, I am calling an emergency hiatus (FOR REAL) til Sunday. Will not (and should not, so you all yell at me if you catch me) be on IRC or AIM, will try to tag back to the open threads I'm in but will be INCREDIBLY slow.

Please do yell at me if you catch me on IRC or tagging into new posts or threads, I should not be doing so.

This affects Mayday, Jaime and Tomo.

ETA #2: Make that Friday. Apparently, the lab that Dr. C said was really really hard is going to take me an hour and a half to finish. Period.

A girl in her mid-teens looked around, more than a little surprised to find herself suddenly in the sorting room. She walked over to the table and picked up an application, trying to shake loose as little mud from her boots and the hem of her faded black dress as possible. Somehow, she didn’t think that whoever’s castle this was would appreciate her tracking pig gunk all over the place.

She read over the application slowly, a slight frown on her face, and then reached for the Dictaquill. The quill, of course, danced away from her grip. After trying to grab for it a few more times, she finally discovered how it worked and let it fill out the application for her – and then went back and carefully crossed out all the “ums.”

Jezz soon located the Slytherin common room, followed by his own room. He sent Keheneshnef out for reconnaissance, then went to do some research and finish up certain interrupted matters from the Sorting Room.

He saved the biggest for last. He’d considered going out to ask in person – they’d even gone into the same school House, if he’d heard right, which would make it still easier – but the amount of crossing-out he ended up doing made him grateful he’d stuck to writing.
