Oh, you humans. So much fuss over a basic feature of your own planet's orbit. A simple little solstice and everyone has a gaudy holiday full of enormous meals, family drama, and decorations everywhere.

Pssst: Spring will come even if you don't throw endless parties. And that won't be a gift from some magical sky fairy either.

I found a fun tradition, though. Somewhere in the school I've hidden a life-size caganer. It's got a few enchantments that might make it easier to find.

There might be a prize involved.

Please tell me that whatever this thing is, it has been rigged with explosives. Holidays are so much more entertaining with a few fireworks, after all.

I have a fondness for remote-detonated charges. Small, but wonderful for inconveniencing plans at the best possible moments.

Isn't a remote detonator a bit of a given? The blowing up and screaming is much more enjoyable from a comfortable distance.

As opposed to a pressure sensor or a deadman's switch, let's say. I prefer not to leave events to chance. I suppose some would call me "controlling." I prefer to think of myself as a meticulous planner.

Oh, I like a good deadman's switch, but it's all in who you wire it up to. It's a fairly lazy way of taking a hostage, but it's just so funny.

Meticulous planning is delightful, but it's important to be able to improvise. And always have a good exit strategy.
