Hey everyone!

Remember how we had to form a Quidditch Team last month? That roster might not still be applicable, seeing as certain members seem to have disappeared for various reasons.

Currently, as it stands, our team (reserves included) comprises of:

Seeker: Tom/Nagini.
Chasers: Steerpike, Cthulhu, Trevor.
Beaters: Lucius Malfoy, Severus Snape.
Keeper: Esmeralda Weatherwax/Stewie.

If anyone else is interested in playing, please comment. I think we'll need a Chaser to replace Trevor, who has been MIA for about a month or so by my reckoning.

I also have jetboots, courtesy of Trevor, for all players. Wear them, and if you fall off your broom, you can hover in the air instead of hitting the ground for a potential fatal collision - I'll give them to whomever you elect as Quidditch Captain.

Which brings me to the next issue - of everyone that's signed up to play, who would like to be the Captain? And if you are signing up right now and are interested in being the Quidditch Captain, please state that as well.

I'm not on the Quidditch team, just the Prefect which is why I organized it. *light grin* Thank you for your vote of confidence though, but I think someone who actually is a member of the team would make a better Captain.

From what I saw, you're better than me to start out with. Anyone that saw me flying would probably assume that I'm either suicidal or testing the effect of G-forces on a human body.

Oh, I don't fall off or crash. My only bruises come from rescue attempts.

Which is another reason I don't like flying on brooms - it's far too damaging to my ego to need rescuing.

You know, you can always hex the broom to travel at lesser speeds. Far as I know, that's allowed in Quidditch.

That might help. At least I won't need to worry about getting thrown off the broom like I was last time I tried to make it stop - thank Ki'yala for fast reflexes, otherwise Nightwing would have had to do some pretty nifty broomwork to stop me from being a splatter on the ground.

Probably doesn't help that I tend to end up high that it gets hard to breathe because the oxygen's so thin up there...

Tell you what. Bring me the broom and I'll be able to put on the appropriate hex for you. I can also make the stops a bit easier for you. The downside of these charms is that they'll wear off after a set amount of time. I just need to renew them every three or so weeks or until you've got a better hang of flying and the controls.

This way, if you're going to high, it'll be easier for you to slow yourself down and go another way in a much longer amount of time.

I, personally, would be glad to play alongside you but the rules of the game require all players to fly on brooms. I'd probably be a lot better at Quidditch if that stupid rule was removed.

Would you be able to ride a broom in a human, or humanoid form? They're difficult to handle, for me, but you're much older and wiser, so I'm sure you would manage it more easily.
