[Closed, Mello, Matt, Kurama] Mayhem in Osaka

So.

Someone worse than B had come to Hogwarts.

Matt momentarily cursed his semi-reclusive lifestyle, but reconsidered it. After all, he didn't remember B. It was probably best that way.

Mello had said that Kurama was still interested in coming to Osaka with them. Which was good. Sometimes you needed to get out of the er, castle, and with a somewhat limited choice of cities, Matt and Mello should take every chance they get.

Checking and double checking that he had enough ammo, Matt settled down with a Game Boy Advance.

Matt aimed for their hands, sometimes hitting them. He preferred disarming them first, then killing.

One of the more daring cars tried to cut him off, so Kurama threw the car into reverse, driving backwards as they were chased.

"So," he said casually, "Are we having fun yet?"

"Maybe," I drawl out, aiming at the cars tires and smirking as it skids out of control. "Now, possibly."

Matt leaned out and took out the rear view mirror on a car, then a side on another car.

Kurama was trying to keep himself from laughing with every inch of restraint he had, but was grinning madly. His grin widened when one of the cars not taken down by Mello - though missing a windshield - pulled up even with them, trying to force them off the road.

"Move in or lose fingers," he instructed Matt and Mello, turning sharply to ram the yakuza before they got rammed first.

I pull back out of the window just before he hits. "That crack about my severed limbs is supposed to stay a crack," I snarl, but I'm having fun.

Matt pulled out one of his bullets and drew a ward on it. "Toss this in there, will ya?" he asked, handing it to Mello.

"And you bitch about my lack of subtlety... what's it going to do?" He veered to the left, closer to their new friends and to give Mello an easier target.

"When have you ever been subtle?" I ask bluntly while taking the bullets from Matt.

"You have weird hobbies, Matt," I say. The bullets feel...odd. But, I toss them in the window when I can.

The Yakuza look confused a moment before an explosion and sparks that look more like fireworks than gunfire or anything else. I can't help but laugh.

"There's a difference between trees and explosives Kurama!" Matt cackled as the bullets went off. "That should keep them off our side."

Kurama made a face but didn't comment, keeping his focus on driving. He popped the brakes again, spinning the car into a 180 and charging the remaining chasers. One of them decided he'd had enough of this bullshit and bailed out, leaving the driver of that car panicking and trying very hard not to crash.

At least there's some warning. I manage to bring up my gun again and shoot the jumper in the ass. That's purely amusement. "Hey, Matt, get the car, will you?" I say since I'm also out of bullets.

Matt aimed and hit the driver in both wrists. The car veered off and hit a wall.

Kurama started to laugh, but was cut off by the flash of light in his eyes. Police sirens. Great. He swerved away from the carnage and down a side street. "Unless you two want there to be another team for our little game, I suggest we take this out of the city."

"Take a couple of side streets to shake all our friends and we can just disappear," I say. "Unless you're not ready to disappear." It'll be cake to change the appearance of the car, after all.

"We'd have to change our appearance too, Mello. If we still want to keep this up."

"That's no issue," Kurama grinned, and with a little concentration made himself more like his human counterpart. "I can put illusions on the two of you, if you're up for more games."

I turn to look at Matt. I knew Kurama could do this because he did in London. "So, hacker, game over or continue?" I ask, grinning. I'd like to continue. "We've still got two and a half hours before we need to catch our portkey."

"Let's get some distance between the police and us, then go again. And hope they didn't get a good look at our faces, the last thing proto-you needs to know is that we're here."

"I know the cops didn't, can't guarantee for our good friends, though..." He parked and cast the change illusion over both of them, a trick that would make them seem like a plain face in the crowd to whoever was looking.

"I'm half tempted to take me out," I mutter and then laugh. "That would be a rather weird form of suicide or something. But you," I gesture at Kurama with my chin, "look different than before." I frown and look at Matt. "Did the proto-me hear about the motorcycles on the M-4?" If I had, I might pay attention to the thugs talking about someone with blond hair and a redhead and a pink haired giry boy.

"Huh?!" That should be good enough of an answer for Mello.

"What other trouble have you gotten in to?" Kurama asked, turning back on to a main road and scanning for their new friends.

"It's only trouble if you get caught," I say. It's painful, but I say, "Just after we arrived initially, we went to London and stole a couple of bikes off a gang and rode them the wrong way on the M-4."

The lost look on Matt's face said it all: he didn't remember that at all.
