Wards, Truth and boundaries (Closed RP, Tylendel, Vanyel, Kusuriyuri)

Having received the request from Kurama to check on Vanyel and Tylendel, Kusuriyuri followed the directions to their room. He'd noticed the pain in Kurama's features when he spoke of the others and it did concern him. It was possible what was accomplished with Vanyel's and Tylendel's healing would help, though Kusuriyuri wasn't entirely sure of it.

With him, he has his case, full of papers and ink to create wards as well as to take notes should he feel that Matt's runes may benefit the boys more.

And, though he tries not to focus on it, his mind dwells on Vanyel's declaring Tylendel his truth. He wonders, with such a mindset, if what he can do will benefit them at all.

Kusuriyuri nods. "If it becomes uncomfortable, it can be rewritten. It will work for now, until you are more recovered."

He concentrates a moment and a stack of the same ward appear in his hand. He hands them to Tylendel. "As you see fit to use them."

He gestures for Vanyel and Tylendel to trade places.

Vanyel got up from the chair nervously, and went to sit down next to Tylendel, wrapping himself around him again. "You're sure you're ok?" he asked.

"I promise," he said, kissing Vanyel's cheek. "It was just a little surprising."

And, though he wouldn't outright admit it yet, he was starting to feel much better.

"You will be fine as well," was his assurance. He stood with a nod to Kusuriyuri and took his place at the chair, watching intently.

He nodded, still worried about the whole thing, and stretched out on the bed, his hands clasped across his chest. "Ok," he said softly. "I guess I'm ready."

Kusuriyuri repeats his actions over Vanyel, examining his energy, but not close enough to change anything. He frowned slightly. So much damage. What had been going on? And, Vanyel was tense, closed against him, as well, making the reading take longer than it had with Tylendel.

With the frown still on his lips, he returned to his paper and pen to write up the ward without a word.

He made a few small noises, and tensed up as the energy passed across him. Vanyel was more and more scared by this. It felt almost like the beginning of when the everything went wrong, so he was tensed against the pain he expected.

Kusuriyuri added kanji for healing to the ward he was constructing. He rose and handed it to Vanyel. "Here," he murmured, watching the boy carefully, only passively noting his energy. He had been aware that the examination had hurt him.

He took the paper, his hands shaking slightly. "Thanks," he said softly. "That just, it reminded me of things."

Kusuriyuri bowed slightly. "It was not my intention to cause harm. It was needed to read the flow of energy through your body. I am sorry it caused you distress."

When he straightened, he examined Vanyel visually. "There should be no pain from the ward. If there is, I will need to rewrite it."

He nodded. "Thanks. I think some things just need to heal the hard way. Between you and Professor Snape, I think I've gotten a good start. I'm not trying to ignore constant pain anymore," he said shyly.

Tylendel stood abruptly then, coming to stand next to Vanyel. He leveled a look at Kusuriyuri, and took Vanyel's hand.
"Thank you for all your help," he said in courtly fashion, "It is much appreciated. If you are done, then?"

Kusuriyuri produced more copies of the ward in the same manner he'd replicated the one for Tylendel. He bowed slightly, just barely enough to be polite, picked up his case and left without another word.
