Vanyel had finally decided he was probably ok letting Tylendel out of his sight for longer than it took to go to the bathroom, and had wandered off to sit in the Gryffindor commons. After all, he reasoned, he'd see him if he headed outof the room they'd been sharing. He pulled out the copy of Hogwarts: A History that he'd checked out, and began to read.

Having received the request from Kurama to check on Vanyel and Tylendel, Kusuriyuri followed the directions to their room. He'd noticed the pain in Kurama's features when he spoke of the others and it did concern him. It was possible what was accomplished with Vanyel's and Tylendel's healing would help, though Kusuriyuri wasn't entirely sure of it.

With him, he has his case, full of papers and ink to create wards as well as to take notes should he feel that Matt's runes may benefit the boys more.

And, though he tries not to focus on it, his mind dwells on Vanyel's declaring Tylendel his truth. He wonders, with such a mindset, if what he can do will benefit them at all.

Freshly sorted, and with a relieved sens of freedom, Tylendel left the sorting room hand in hand with Vanyel, casting his first glances around the castle proper.

Professor Snape,
I need to ask you for some calming and sedative potions. My beloved has made it here, but he remembers nothing of what happened before. He wants me to explain things, but I'm hesitant to do so without some kind of help. I have seen how he, and his magis, have reacted to shocking news in the past. I promise I will only be using said potions for the stated purpose.

((Tylendel Frelennye from Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. This is set after his very dramatic suicide, following the death of his twin brother and Companion (magical talking horse). He is now revived, confused, and blocking out all the Very Bad Things that led up to his death.

It was very dark for a moment or two, and Tylendel's head had gone from splitting headache to sudden, deathly calm. He couldn't really put his finger on why - the fragmented memories of the past few hours were indistinct - but he felt... very lonely. Like a good friend had just left him behind. Like the first time he had been too far away from Staven to feel their mutual link.

And Gala... where was Gala? Why did it hurt to think about that?

Nevermind, his head was too foggy, and he was in an unfamiliar room. He noticed the desk, and the upright quill, and immediately went to it, being the most prominent figure in the room.

It was a lovely day, and A was moving between his greenhouse and garden, transplanting the rosemary and tomatoes into the greenhouse. A plate of lavender shortbread and a pitcher of lavender lemonade were set out, and he sang loudly and badly as he worked.

With a couple of days sleep since his sorting, Vanyel started wandering around the school in search of the library. His headache was back, but he wasn't quite sure he was up to finding someone to get rid of it permanently. If they hadn't done it at home, it was probably going to be difficult. Finally, he found some doors that appeared to lead into the library. He stepped inside, and just stalled, looking up with a gaping jaw at the sheer number of books in front of him.

Character: Vanyel Ashkevron from Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. The character is being apped immediately after attempting suicide following the suicide of his lover, Tylendel. Rather than being Chosen, as he was in the books, he insetad woke from his suicide attempt to find himself here.

Vanyel was slumped in the corner, the fresh slices in his arms having just stopped bleeding. He was rather a mess, although to those with a good eye, it was rather obvious that he’d started the evening looking rather fashionable. His eyes opened, and he sat rather stiffly in the corner, looking at the room with an air of confusion, before a cold look settled over his features..
