So, Ray had been having a good day, and a bad day. First, he'd gotten locked into a room with his partner by a girl who totally had it comin', now.
That's bad.
Then, he figured out he got locked in because someone'd figured out they both had the hotness goin' on for one another. Huh, crazy, right? A bent Mountie? Who woulda thought? Heh. Now all he had goin' on was a Ralph Wiggum voice going 'I bent my Mountie'.
heheh.
Oh, right. That's good.
Then, just as they were about to go for the good stuff, they got out of the secret passage they were stuck in and tumbled, ass-first, into the Gryffindor Common Room, both of them in rather obviously... rumpled clothing.
Uh. That's bad.
Of course, they were closer to a bed now. That's good...

Which meant, of course, that all the rest of the time had been occupied in the tunnel, but. Well. The point was that Lily had planned badly, not that they had spent a great deal of time in there.

"You might be interested to know," she replied with a grin, "that the point of this was not to lock you in a room. It was to get you two to realize what was right in front of you. So, as long as that happened, I don't sodding care if you grew wings and flew out."

Date: 2007-02-16 04:40 am (UTC)She's right, you know, son, you never would have gotten anything done if not for us, Bob told him cheerfully.
"Oh, for God's sake, never mind," Fraser groaned, his head sinking into his hand.

Date: 2007-02-16 04:45 pm (UTC)"Yes, Dad, you've made your point." He glared at his father. "And if you think I'm going to thank you for it, you're unhinged. Now, are you entirely done gloating?"
Bob was absolutely not done gloating, but he decided he could gloat privately with Lily. Now, how to talk to her... He focused carefully. Don't listen to them, Lily. They're just stroppy because they didn't see it coming.
Fraser made an incoherent sort of a grumbling noise, gritting his teeth, and leaned over to Ray. "I think this may go on for a while."

And Dief is, I'm assuming, still wherever you two left him, so make sure to tell him hello. Oh, and cover his eyes during the naughty parts." She'd actually turned away, pausing to look back over her shoulder. "What does stroppy mean?" she asked with a puzzled frown.

Date: 2007-02-16 06:26 pm (UTC)Stroppy. You know -- pouting, sulking. Look at those faces. Bob snickered. Fraser pinched the bridge of his nose, his jaw clenching.
"I am neither pouting nor sulking, Dad. In fact, I was in rather a good mood before you showed up," he pointed out irritably.
Oh, I'm sure you were, I'm sure you were. Bob replied cheerfully, unfazed by his son's anger. Well, don't let an old man like me slow you down.
Fraser snapped. "You know, you really need to-- to look into some help, or something, you really do, because this, this is not even remotely a healthy..." Forget this. He had better things to do. All but growling at his father, he grabbed Ray's arm. "Let's go, Ray."

Rolling her eyes, she nodded at Ray. "Fine. Dief is better company right now than you two lovesick kids, anyway. Bob, would you care to join me for a cuppa? I'm sure that Dief wouldn't say no to a scone, either."

Date: 2007-02-17 09:48 pm (UTC)As she walked, Lily added, "And 'sprog' means child. Now, sir, Benton tells me that you were a Mountie as well. Did you enjoy it?" An afternoon of RCMP stories and tea sounded like a brilliant way to spend her time.

Walking out the doors, Lily lead the way down to the Great Hall. (http://community.livejournal.com/hogwarts_hocus/1173175.html)
