It had been a long day the day before, with Wolfram acquiring yet another pet (a rather hideous kitten by the name of Furry Yuuri) and having yet another argument with Yuuri. This time it was whose name was manlier. Wolfram felt that he won that one, but he always thinks he wins his fights.
The demon was celebrating his victory with a much needed rest, which he spent in what was technically Yuuri's bedroom, but one which Wolfram inhabited with resolution. His own bedroom was taken over by a dragon, a kitten, and a tribble, anyway. Yuuri and Wolfram's competitions usually stretched into their sleep, as shown through the determined way Wolfram would steal the blankets throughout the night.
And if the chill did not wake up Yuuri early, Wolfram's cold feet certainly would. At least the Maou wasn't being, literally, kicked out of bed this time.

Date: 2007-01-02 02:31 am (UTC)But dragons can have a nasty temper on them. Although that may have just been Filia.

Date: 2007-01-02 02:38 am (UTC)Are we almost at the Tower yet?
no subject
Date: 2007-01-02 01:46 pm (UTC)We should be almost there. *Zel skips a step on the staircase.* Watch out for the trick step.

Date: 2007-01-02 09:46 pm (UTC)I have a castle, you know. On both sides of my family. Actually, several. And none of them have bad steps.

Date: 2007-01-02 09:51 pm (UTC)Actually, I think the step's there on purpose, the same way the moving stairs are. One of those things that just seem designed to trip you up.

Date: 2007-01-02 09:52 pm (UTC)That's a convenient excuse for laziness, it seems to me.

Date: 2007-01-02 09:57 pm (UTC)Given that that particular step seems to be entirely illusory, and appears to be made of stone, I suspect that it doesn't do that just because it hasn't been maintained properly.
*Zel blinks as an earlier statement registers.* Several castles? Don't let Lina hear that, or she'll start trying to buy them off you.

Date: 2007-01-02 10:27 pm (UTC)Well, she couldn't even if she wanted to! They've been in my families for generations! And... I don't technically own any of them, yet. I'm still young, for my people. They're owned by older relatives.

Date: 2007-01-02 10:37 pm (UTC)That's never stopped Lina. She never stopped trying to get Gourry to give her the Sword of Light until it was lost. She never gives up about that sort of thing. Might be a good thing to remember if she ever shows up here. *Zel grins wickedly as he files away a plan in the back of his mind.* Anyway, I'm fairly young for a human, too; I'm only nineteen.

Date: 2007-01-02 10:43 pm (UTC)The only way to gain hold of the property would be if I became the oldest living relative. I would rather avoid that for as long as possible. It could be a wedding present, I suppose. Oh, I guess Yuuri technically owns the castle now, and I will own it when I marry him.
Nineteen? Yuuri is fifteen. I'm in my eighties, so I win.

Date: 2007-01-02 10:47 pm (UTC)Speaking of which, how did one go about challenging a mazoku to a duel again?
Fifteen? *Zel snorts.* I've heard of some royal marriages being arranged absurdly young, but I always thought that was the exception, not the rule.
