James walked into Ravenclaw adjusting his clothes; tucking his shirt back into his pants, adjusting it, pulling his robes closed. He was coming from the Great Hall with every intention of bying one Dieter Prohl a drink, and maybe Admiral ZEX as well.

"Right, so what'll it be?"

Lily walked down the steps from the Ravenclaw towers, her nose buried in a book. She was muttering to herself, flipping pages back and forth, and paying very little attention to where she was going. Without looking up, she made her way over to a chair just beyond the bar and next to the window.

Raising her wand, she said, "Accio Butterbeer." She stretched out her hand to catch the bottle.

((If James doesn't want to talk to Lily now, I'll just have her leave the room once she's seen him. Totally up to you! ^.^))

Lily looked up at the voice. That voice. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly. "James," she said quietly. So strange to see him standing in front of her. The last she'd seen him, he'd been sprawled on the floor, eyes glazed and distant. Now he was here - a bit younger, a bit looser around the edges.

She stood up, her pile of books forgotten. She looked confused, torn between making sure that James was real, was really there and all right and whole again, and running as fast as she could. "Bloody fucking hell," she breathed.

"Yes, well, it seemed rather appropriate." She swallowed convulsively, trying to order her thoughts. "Think, Evans!" she commanded herself. "Stop just staring like a goblin in a gold mine."

"Thought you were in Gryffindor," she said after a moment. "Lure of liquor once again proves too strong for young Potter." A flash of a grin, an apology about her eyes. She was trying, Merlin how she was trying. To not run to him, into his arms, was killing her. But this wasn't her James; he didn't remember. She couldn't expect him to.

Lily nodded back. "We did at that," she said to his back. Quickly gathering up her books, she went to leave the room. The library would be a safe haven. She wanted to say more, to force James to talk with her, to at least look at her. "Patience," she reminded herself. Sirius was right about this, at least.

"Enjoy your drinks," she called back, not quite sure if James could still hear her. Not quite brave enough to wait and see if he responded, either. Heart beating, she left the common room.

"Ooooh, looks like a jumpin' bar," Dimitri said as the iguana strode up to the bar. "We having a party, bros?"

Dimitri cocked his head, his bling clanking merrily.
