Setting up your razor-wire shrine (Closed RP: River and Stephen Maturin)

River was silent as she led Stephen into their bedroom, not looking at him. "Get undressed and lie down on the bed." Her voice was empty of everything but the words. She ignored him and went to get the barbed wire--- this time remembering to set the ward on it, the same one that they used on the scalpel.


((OOC: Angst. Blood-play. Bondage. Punishment. Barbed wire....

I never want to go away. I have not wanted to be apart from you since we married. Is that strange? It seems ... strange ... to me.

"Doesn't seem strange to me. But then, on Serenity... Wash could have had a better job. Safer. He stayed to be with Zoe." That much anyone could figure out, and anyway she had never been exactly sure what was going on between the captain and Inara, possibly because they hadn't been sure themselves. "So it's... within acceptable parameters, anyway. And besides, I want to be with you all the time too." She reached down and stroked his forehead, gently.

"...do you want me to let you loose? From the wire, I mean."

To Stephen it was very strange, actually. He had imagined this marriage would be more similar to the first, perhaps with him eventually moving back into his old room in Ravenclaw and letting her do what she wanted with this place. It was no use explaining what arrangements he had had with Diana because they were clearly inapplicable here and would only confuse River.

He did not want her to let him loose until she was sure that she wanted to let him loose.
