When Primavera gets truly annoyed, she doesn't want to be anywhere near Hufflepuff. Morfin might try to cheer her up, and that would annoy her even more. So, just as the last time she was very annoyed, she wanders off.

She finds a windowseat that is either the same one she'd resorted to before, or a very similar one, and sits down with her skirts flounced around her and her traincase of perfume oils in front of her, dabbling idly as she looks out the window onto the grounds, watching the leaves dapple the lawn in the afternoon sunlight.

She'd started the owl several times, each time talking herself out of actually sending it. The woman she'd met at her sorting had seemed all at once familiar, but, then again, not at all. Finally, calling herself every kind of prat, she dashed off a quick note and sent it by school owl, before she could change her mind.

To the woman I 'just missed' )

Lily: Welcome, everyone, to the 34th broadcast of WART Radio! This is Lily Potter, your DJ tonight - along with the lovely Sarah Williams. Now, I understand that Remus and Gogo were unaware as to who we were. Let me tell you, Remus, that hurts. You'd think old friends would count for enough that you'd recognize my name.

Sarah: *tsks in disapproval* You went to school with him, right?

Lily: Too right I did! And fought in a war, besides. Remus, I understand that you're getting older, but really, is that any excuse? This song's for you, Remus Lupin. "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" by Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond [lyrics].

Sarah: You know, you shouldn't let it get you down Lily, the boys I knew in high school and college were like that too. I kept hoping they'd grow out of it.

Lily: *laughs* Oh, sweet Sarah. Let me tell you a little secret: They never grow out of it. Eventually, they all just come right back around to the prat they were in school. Sure, they might have their moments - but, generally, guys can only focus on one thing at a time. And on with the show! )

Posted up on the notice board in Gyffindor.

Charles,

If you sent me that song, show yourself.

Auntie Two was investigating a wonderful scent. The little green fire-lizard blinked in from between to hover in the Gryffindor Common Room. She was intent on finding her prize. It'd illuded her a few times already and her mind was filled with the bright happy chatter emotions of joy and determination.

Flitting in deep emerald, she searched for the person she was sure would be almost as lovely as the one who belonged to her.

Faith huffed into the great hall, dark eyes narrowed in a glare. She was in a very bad mood. But hey... at least she was back... right? She stormed up to her old room, glad to see it was still unoccupied. The hufflepuff's seemed to have grown in number... and more annoying. Well, it was better than jail.

She sighed and flopped onto her bed. Turning on her stomach she decided to write an owl. After grabbing a pen and parchment she wrote a few short words on the parchment. Without signing it, she brought it to the owlry and sent it off. Hopefully the person who was recieving it would know who it was from.

Owl to Ginny, lightly warded. )

((Hey, this thread is open to more than Ginny. Anyone who knows Faith and saw her come in. Or someone who saw her come in and wants to know her))

((They're out on the old bridge, so if you wander by, stop and say hello.))

After lunch, Lily hesitantly made her way down to the bridge out on the Hogwarts grounds. She almost turned back a dozen times, but each time, muttering curses, she kept going forward. Somehow she knew that this girl, Death, had answers. Lily wasn't sure if she wanted to know the answers, but that was a different issue.

Finally reaching her destination, Lily leaned against the railing and let the wind wash over her. Closing her eyes, she tried to order her wayward thoughts.

"She can't actually be Death," Lily thought. "That's impossible. Even for Hogwarts, that's got to be impossible. I hope."

Satisfied that everyone knew about the tryouts, Adam headed down to the Quidditch pitch at 5:30 to get everything set up. It was a warm, clear evening - perfect flying weather. Upon arriving, he concentrated until a chest containing all the necessary equipment appeared. Next to the chest was a stack of better than standard issue brooms. Summoning his own broom from wherever it was that he kept it, Adam hopped on and got some flying in before the people trying out for the Beater positions arrived.

Hi all -
I'm making an overnight trip & will have no Net access from about 8 a.m. EST Tuesday to, oh, 6 p.m. EST Wednesday. Laura's two major RPs of the moment (strolling with Gin & tribbles with Grant) are wrapped up, fortunately.

ICly, Laura will be holed up in the kitchens baking pies, now that she knows where the kitchens are. (Since she promised Grant a pie before he leaves Wednesday, I'll have her send him the first one to him tonight. The rest of her sorting bribe pies will go out Wednesday in a backdated post when I get back.) She'll also be in Potions class, but Maturin-mun has already noted her nonparticipation on the class log.

Also, I just put up a second-char application for Ian Malcolm. I wanted to get it up there now so Dr. Grant would have a chance to respond to it before Grant-mun disappears for the summer, but obvsly I won't be able to respond to sorting queries until Wednesday, so if the mods could just hold off sorting the app a couple days I'd be most grateful.

Feel free to drop Ian questions, though - I'll be logged in as Malcolm most of tonight to get as much done as I can, & he'll be my priority when I get back Wednesday evening.

How am I going to survive 48 hours with no Internet????

Sick. Specifically in the form of a runny nose, hot forehead, and a dry throat. It was...sickening and to think that poor, mistreated Velma Kelly had to suffer the worse as soon as she got settled into the trashy common room for Slytherin. Kharma was truly a bitch sometimes and it was being a downright bitch to Velma. Sure, the logical thing would be to go to the Hospital Wing, but Velma was new to this magic thing and wasn't too keen on getting some 'voodoo freak magick' to cure her.

The fever did die down, but the sneezing, the running, and the dryness was still there, for God's sake. Beginning to really hate the Slytherin common room interior, Velma decided on a stroll. It was a morning and the next logical thing to do was to go to the Great Hall for breakfast. Velma was hungry, therefore the Great Hall it was.

The Slytherin table wasn't hard to find (Banners were a dead give-away) and Velma decided to stay as far away from the...ahem, colorful crowd of Slytherin House by sitting in a secluded section of the table. The food was good. Free was always good, but it would be so much more enjoyable if she'd just stop sneezing. "It's this damn school." She growled and she was sure she couldn't be convinced otherwise.
