OOC: hiatus

Taking all my chars on a bit of a hiatus. I'll still be around to finish up trailing RPs and conversations I've already started in Sortings, but nothing new.

The following are my IC explanations for where chars are:

Stephen Maturin is in the library, researching reincarnation and alternate universes. His mail is being held by his house-elf.
Agent Cooper has gotten lost somewhere in the castle. Fortunately he has some Powerbars with him. However, he is sufficiently lost that even owls won't be able to find him.
Paul Atreides is still on planet Caladan with Terry.
Morfin Gaunt Jones is sufficiently traumatized by the therapy session, with its dredging up memories of his Gaunt childhood, that he is hiding under his bed until further notice.
Primavera Bobinski is immured in her room, playing with Gogo and the Devinesian devils.
Strong Bad is planning a nefarious caper and laying low.

((Might be a slow weekend due to holiday- figured I'd open up a generic space for any bored people to wander into and interact in. XD))

The inn's quiet at the moment, a few witches and wizards talking quietly at tables. Dib is absently watching from a corner, lost in thought. After the disasterous 'therapy' session, he fled the campus entirely and took advantage of being (at least temporarily) age-of-consent enough to rent a private room at the Hogsmeade inn- and he's been in the village since then thinking -hard- about everything. Zim. ZEX. Devi. Nny. Primavera.

He itches absently at his wrist. I've really made a mess of everything.

So, do we need affirmative action?

Hey everyone! After having an interesting convo with Victor about whether stupid white men make up the majority of the school, we made up the following poll to see if it's true or not. For the purpose of the poll, Caucasian is being defined as anyone from Europe, including the Greeks and the Slavs, and the Russians. If you're half and half, such as half-French and half-Japanese like myself, you count as non-Caucasian. If you're half-French and half-Italian, though, you're fully Caucasian. If you're an immortal of a particular country, such as Greece, then the immortal part trumps ethnicity.

OOC Hiatus

Not that I've been around a ton lately anyway (curse my need for a full-time summer job!) but I've suffered a huge huge HUGE computer problem, and will thus be unable to be online except for the occasional foray on a library computer until (at the earliest) sometime two weeks from now, as I currently lack the funds to get it fixed.

It's driving me crazy already. I went over twelve hours without checking my email today! How am I to cope?

Hey all,

You may remember I mentioned in comments in the app, that I was having some net problems. Basically a line/cable went dead and knocked out my whole neighbourhood. No phone service for anyone, business or home. It was lots of static and finally went dead completely -not even faded - around 4pm Thursday.

I was told that it'd be back online by 9pm. That didn't happen. Then 9am Friday morning. That didn't happen. Friday, libraries where I am are closed, (and no net cafe's around) so there was no where to go to get online. But I was told once again that by 9pm Friday night. That didn't happen. Nor did 11pm. Or 9am Sat morning.

Right now things seem to be working. But if I disappear again until Tuesday(and damn if it's not iffy a bit again), it was the line again. And I didn't mean to leave y'all hanging in my app etc.

Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth.
