Dear Ryuuji,
Trying to figure things out. I know you are too, and I hate to trouble you; regrettably, I will be busy for some time with this particular research project. Please make sure nothing explodes while I am otherwise occupied. Also, please factor something of a time delay into your arrangements with Cox. I would not have him think me reluctant to settle our dispute on the field of honor, but some matters take precedence over dealing with the likes of him.
Have not heard from McGinnis again; would let you know if I had.

Dear Susan,
I have thought much about what you said, when we discussed certain matters having to do with time. I will be researching this very intensively for the next little while; I tell you this so you will not worry if you look for me and I cannot be found.
Take care.

I am trying to figure out what happened. Do not be alarmed if you do not see me for some time.
S. Maturin.
Remus,
The lake will have to wait, I am afraid; something has come up. I do wish you luck with your friends. Contact Ryuuji should a certain one of them need Calming Draught.

Date: 2006-05-27 04:28 pm (UTC)Best of luck with your project. I will do my best to hold down the fort in the meantime, and will make sure to not schedule the duel for at least a week, unless you think more time is needed. I'll also see about keeping everyone else out of trouble, as usual, and make sure that no unruly House Elf mischief is caused.
Thanks. Only one week left before he's back, I hope.

Date: 2006-05-30 07:34 pm (UTC)Ah. Would you like any help? I must confess that I find myself with
absolutely nothing to take my mind off waiting for Terry to get backfar too much free time. I'm spending a lot of time in those dorms, lately. I could always play gofer and bring you anything you might desire.~Ryuuji

Date: 2006-05-30 12:51 am (UTC)The lake is indeed still here, as I happily found today, having emerged from the library for a small boating excursion. I also see the school is in one piece, so I deduce the recent troubles are at an end or nearly so.
Of course I am all right, have never been better. Looking forward to our next expedition.

In your absence, I have acquired a new friend - Sarcophilus laniarius by name (though I prefer to call her Ella). You'll get to meet her soon.
cheers,

Date: 2006-05-31 02:11 am (UTC)DearestStephen,Perhaps asking people would work better than the books. There is one person I could ask that would lay a great deal of this to rest. Not that he would help me without a price, but it could still be worth speaking to him. I can do it to help us.

Seeing him is a whole new problem, but I'll do it.Believe me, I will watch my words more carefully than I did when I was fifteen.Sarah

Date: 2006-05-31 04:59 am (UTC)DearestStephen,Actually... I don't really know how I will tell. I just know I need to do something and he needs to be confronted in some way. I don't intend to let it get out of hand, as much as I know he wants me to hold and use one of his damn crystals.
I'll be fine. It's the only way to learn anything from him, it does us no good to search in the wrong direction.Sarah
