Less than a year ago Nico Minoru’s life was centered around marching band and reading books on mythical monsters. Now she was attending a school where the monsters weren’t mythical; they were real. And there was a class that allowed students to handle them. Yeah, she was so taking that class. This school was so bizarre and overwhelming and all together awesome. There were so many places that she wanted to explore in the school but right now if she did that on her own, she’d probably forget how to get back to the dorms. That was not her idea of good times.

Getting lost with a group of friends on the other hand could be a lot of fun. A couple of years back the marching band had gotten lost on a way to a game and they had a lot of fun trying to find their way to the right stadium. Those days seemed so long ago to her now, even they weren’t that far in the past. She lived a different life than the one she lived back then and while it wasn’t perfect, she enjoyed it. She loved all of her friends even when they argued over petty things like what brand of cereal to get for the week. That wasn’t going to be a problem in this school; there was so much food. She had just finished up a breakfast that consisted of French toast, hash browns, and a banana nut muffin. The elves came along around and took care of her plates for her.

The only thing to do now was wait for her friends to show up. It had been a couple of months since they had been together as a group and she found herself growing more and more excited as the clock hand grew closer to their meet up time.

Agent Cooper's new friend, the little bat Joe, seemed to be feeling tired. And he had expressed interest in meeting Mr. Butlertron! Everyone should meet Mr. Butlertron sooner or later, and the sooner the better, so they could benefit from the robot professor's awesome wisdom and killer oaty cookies.

Time to head home. Satisfied that his pirate rum traps had attracted many werewolves, Cooper carried his bat friend back to the Hufflepuff dorms, in search of his boyfriend roommate idol Mr. Butlertron.

Mod Note: Clarification of the No-Kill Rule.

We've had some questions about the no-kill so here's the clarification of it. There is absolutely no death on campus. At all. You can be dismembered, and you'll still be alive. It doesn't matter if the person doing the killing is a god, a shinigami, or even DEATH himself. The death simply won't take, and the person trying to kill will end up popcorned, along with any other char that they play.

Likewise, you cannot give OOC permission for your character to die, because (say it with me) there is no death on campus. Anyone who agrees to have their character killed off will simply have all of their chars turned into popcorn as well for attempted violation of the base rule of Hogwarts. The no-kill rule is basically what lets people of such different power levels interact without any problems; nobody can break it, either by dying or killing, and since it's pretty much the only rule we have about IC interaction (beisdes keeping your chars as IC as possible except for the purposes of crack), we ask that you all keep to it.

Edited to add: Attempting to kill a character and failing is fine, as long as it's been discussed OOC beforehand and both muns are aware of the fact that no actual death will take place. However, OOC consent is definitely required for that; no unilateral actions can be taken when other chars are involved.

I'M ALIVE!

'Kay, here's the story. On March 18th I went to use the computer and...it wouldn't turn on. At all. So, we had to go through the long, painful process of dealing Dell Tech Support, which ultimately ended in them sending us a brand spanking new computer, which just arrived a couple days ago (the 8th, to be exact). That's why I haven't been around. I'm really sorry if I messed anything up by not having my characters around, but I am back now.

At least, my more active characters (Joan, Stewie, Chase, Granny) are. I'm offering the rest (Deloris Herbig, Aang, and the Weasley twins) to the ether. Or to anyone that wants to snag them. If no one picks up the twins, I'll probably take them back in a couple weeks once I'm fully back into the swing of things.

But yeah. I'm all alive and stuff.


Also: Could someone catch me up on what I've missed? *big puppy dog eyes* I'm sure all kinds of cracktastic stuff has happened in the almost month that I've been gone.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks to all those who answered the poll. Since I have responses accounting for 115 of the players, I think I've got enough to get a fairly accurate idea of what's going on at Hogwarts Hocus!

The reason I had Stephen-mun make the poll is that it certainly seems like Hogwarts is over-run with people that aren't so human, whether they be gods, demons, or just plain preternatural. This is long and rambly and gods I am a geek, but at least my curiosity is satiated. :D

Following on from this...

There are no such things as a locked door in Aziraphale’s world, so the door to Crowley’s room simply swung open before him, despite whatever wards there were in case of such an occurrence.

It remained open just long enough for Adam and Lupin to follow him inside, then snapped shut as Aziraphale carried Crowley over to his bed and lay him down on it.
