Wanderings of the Twili - To Slytherin! (Open)

Free from the Application Room, Midna gathered all of the items no one took and decided to go to where she was sorted. Slytherin. Problem is, no one told her where Slytherin was.

So here she is wandering around the hallways of the school, getting very lost and getting very annoyed.

"Where am I supposed to go? Where is Slytherin?!"

She hovered up to get a better look at one of the paintings.

"I'm sure I've seen that THREE times before!"

She hovered down to the floor with a huff.

This isn't very fun she thought to herself.

Matthew wandered out of a side hallway and nodded familiarly to the portrait that made Midna think she was going in circles before turning his attention to the Twili. "Hey, you look lost."

"I AM lost" Midna replied "I was sorted into Slytherin, but I wasn't told where Slytherin is"

"Yeah, the Hat does that sometimes. I get the impression it doesn't think this stuff through." He leaned down, offering a hand. "I can get you to Slytherin - that's my House as well."

"Oh really?" Midna was a little surprised at this gesture "Sure, thanks for the offer. That would help" Midna took Matthew's hand

Matthew laughed. "Don't mention it. We do sneaky and ambitious; doesn't mean we all have to be bastards."

Midna grinned "There's nothing wrong with being sneaky and ambitious. Besides the only bastard I've met was that stupid talking flower. I mean I'm used to sentient plants trying to kill me, but that flower was just obnoxious" Midna's faced darkened, she was still pissed off about Sunflora.

"Don't think I've met the flower," Matthew mused. "And if I thought there was something wrong with it, why would I be here?"

"Be glad you've never met the flower" Midna replied "It 'Squibbed' me just because I was a Twili, a creature of darkness. Just because I'm a creature of darkness doesn't mean that I'm a bad person"

"Some people just don't understand," Matthew said sympathetically.

"I know" Midna replied.

She was silent for a moment

"What do people do to have some fun around here?" she asked "I know one guy annoys someone called Lezard"

"Somehow I'm not surprised someone's made annoying him his hobby. Most of us just wander around and talk to people, explore... maybe study if we're desperate."

"Hmmm...I would assume that you don't like it when people annoy other people as a hobby?" Midna asked

Matthew grinned. "Now when did I say that? It's just that Lezard was a powerful wizard even before coming here, and annoying him strikes me as a dangerous pastime."

Midna grinned, revealing her fang-like teeth "That would make it all the more fun" she replied

"If you like that sort of thing, I guess. I tend to prefer my dangerous fun to have an element of sneaking out."

"Oh? What do you do to have fun?" Midna asked.

"Oh, this and that. I'm a spy in my own world," he added, by way of explanation.

"Really? What does 'this and that' entail" Midna asked

"Oh, y'know. Sneaking, finding things out. Occasionally having to call in favors."

"Sounds like fun" Midna replied "It's always good to be in the know"

she paused, thinking about the fused shadows

"Say, if you ever find an item that look like this," she tapped her helmet "you mind letting me know? I'm kind of looking for it. I've already found the first three, I just need to find the last one"

He nodded. "I'll keep an eye out. Do I get to know why?"

"Thanks. The reason why I'm getting these Fused Shadows is so I can kill Zant. Zant is a Twili like me. Unlike me, however he is evil. He usurped the Twili Royal Family and has tried to invade another world. I just want to stop him and go back home"

"We had someone like that back in Elibe. Only Nergal tried to get the other world to invade us." Matthew smiled grimly. "Didn't work out too well for him."

"Well Zant's plot certainly isn't going to end well for him. Not while I'm around" Midna replied with a nasty grin on her face

"Good to hear." Matthew chuckled. "Just because Gryffindor gets the ones who charge in without looking doesn't mean we can't take down tyrants just as well."

"Gryffindor gets the idiots?" Midna asked "Because someone told me that all the brave people go to Gryffindor. Although some people do beleive that bravery is just a form of stupidity"

He sighed. "It's not the valor I object to, it's that too many of them seem to have forgotten the better part of it. They don't know the meaning of the word 'discretion.'"

"I know the feeling. The guy I was travelling with before I came here always jumped into things without thinking or without planning ahead and just went in sword slashing, or in certain cases, fangs and teeth biting and slashing" Midna sighed at the thought "he was a bit...dense"

"Well, that's what he needs you around for. Someone has to do the thinking in an outfit like that."

"Of course" Midna grinned "I usually get him to do things my way, but sometimes he just ignores what I say and does things his way."
