After the first thousand years or so, Kurama found a way to control exhausting emotions like rage and hate and the like. Most of the time, he could cool down after a moment, probably following some bit of vengeful destruction, and move on.
Sometimes, however, it took more than just a little vengeful destruction.
At first, the destruction was random, mindless, angry culling of whatever flora he didn't happen to like at the moment, or that reminded him that a certain bomb-fetishist demon who shall not be named had come in and ruined the hell out of his day. Then, as the greenhouse started to look more like a disaster zone, he began to parse off each plant, vine, stem, flower, and leaf until parts of the greenhouse looked like they'd been planned out by a math-happy earth god; not a curved or unsymmetrical line to be seen.
He was obviously in a dark mood, but he had forgotten to close the greenhouse door. Belophoebe, wise cat that she was, came in at just the right moment and demanded his attention. Which he gladly gave, abandoning the wreckage of his greenhouse - half mathematical perfection, half jungle disaster chaos - to sit on a worktable and pet his cat.

Date: 2009-02-15 01:09 am (UTC)It took him only a few paces to be able to smell the lingering odor of gunpowder, and feel the residual crawl of Karasu's youki. A feeling of dread crawled into Kurama's stomach and settled there.
"Kusuriyuri..." He held out his hands to his lover, eyes intent to find where Karasu had hurt him, terrified that he'd been hurt more than he was showing.

Date: 2009-02-15 01:39 am (UTC)Hiei looked away, focusing his attention on a half mutilated plant by his foot. "I came to see if you were alright and...if you needed my help at all," he mumbled. He knew Kurama could hear him, but Hiei felt vulnerable in saying that out loud. However he knew from prior experience that it meant a lot to Kurama when he swallowed his pride and told him his feelings without resorting to telepathy.

Date: 2009-02-17 10:44 am (UTC)"Is this more of that 'plant magic' you were talkin' about before, fox face?" Issun asked from his place on Amaterasu's head, wondering if the kitsune often went on such rampages.

Date: 2009-02-18 08:56 am (UTC)Amaterasu got up and padded in, curiously sniffing at the plethora of plant life that littered the ground. She knew it probably wasn't her place to mend that damage, though she was sorely tempted to.

Date: 2009-02-18 09:37 pm (UTC)"Though since there isn't much of a clamor to learn plant magic, I only use this and greenhouse one for actual classes. Three is where I keep more dangerous plants, and four is for growing experiments and hanging out to drink tea. Five, six, and seven are still in repair from the last teacher."
