Hogwarts First Annual Chili Fest! ((Open RP for whole school. Free food! Mingling opportunities!))

The making of chili had been highly successful. With River and A working together, they'd made nearly enough to feed the whole school. Thankfully, the kitchen had some pretty huge pots.

And now they were in the great hall, River on one side of the pot and A on the other, each armed with an apron, a ladel, and a spoon. Next to the pot were containers holding sour cream and various types of cheese and cut up chives, for garnish. A sign at the door read 'Free chili! Come and enjoy!'

"It is meat with spices," A told him. "There are beans in it also, and some vegetables, but it is mostly meat. There is cheese and sour cream for putting on top of it, but that is optional, and I remember that you, you don't like cheese, so you will probably want it on its own."

Thankfully, it wasn't super-hot.

"You don't like cheese, sensei?" River asked, serving up a bowl for him and handing it over.

"Not really, Shadow-girl. And, it was less than helpful that the Hat filled my room with the stuff, either." He smiled at the two and then winked at the Shadow-girl. "Is this who you danced for?" he asked, teasing her a little.

She blushed, but managed to keep a dignified face otherwise. "A is the only one I'll dance for."

"Ah, A-san, you are indeed a lucky man to have such a beautiful Shadow-girl dance for you," Yukimura said smiling at A.

A flushed vividly and looked down, but he was smiling slightly as well. "She, she, she is beautiful and oh, yes, oh, oh, I am lucky."

Yukimura smiled at both of them. They were so cute, both of them with almost matching expressions. He took a bite of the chili. "This is quite good," he said.

River beamed at him, overjoyed that he liked their cooking. "If you have requests sometime," she said tentatively, "We could make something for you." She looked to A to confirm. "Right?"

A nodded readily. "I am trying to learn foods that will appeal to everyone," he said. "I made a meatloaf for Kusuriyuri with ginger, garlic, and scallions."

"Ah, but I have such simple tastes," Yukimura teased them. "Though, meatloaf? Did the medicine seller like it?" he asked, curious now.

"He said that he did," A told him. "I do not think he would lie. It was a simple thing to make, with herbs from the garden, and I made a small one without all the seasonings for the cats."

Yukimura smiled. "He does seem to value the truth very strongly. I do not think he would lie, either. And, you have very fortunate cats."

"I learn a lot from my cats, and they are my friends, so I make sure they are well cared for." He smiled at River; her cats were well-cared-for as well.

Yukimura noticed the glance. "And your cats? They are well?" he asked he asked the Shadow-girl.

"They are. I regret not bringing them, they'd like to see you again." A smile. "You made a very good impression."

"Maybe Next time, I shall see them along with A-san's cats." He bowed slightly. "Thank you for the chili, Shadow-girl, A-san."
