Hogwarts and all its magic was good, but it compared little to actual flesh and blood. And what a delightful surprise, there was someone who was rather eager to kill.

Beyond and Johnny C had planned to go into town and murder people. With a broomstick flight as well.

It was close to midnight when Beyond stood on the outskirts of Hogwarts, trying to determine exactly where the no-kill rule ended.

And Nny was suddenly there, moving with the innate silence of any predator. He carried two brooms (one his own, the other a basic school broom) and had a backpack full of weapons.

"Lovely dark night, yes. The stars are forever here."

"A nice dark night. Good enough for us to see but dark enough to hide us." If he was surprised by Nny sneaking up, Beyond didn't show it.

"How difficult would it be to ride a broom?" he gestured toward the broom.

"It's easy. And it makes the sky so close." He handed B the school broom and straddled his own.

"You do it like this." And he kicked off, propelling himself into the sky, shooting upwards with a wild, joyous laugh.

Beyond pushed up his sleeves and got onto the broom, shakily taking off from the ground.

As he flew up, he grew more confident on the broom, and looked down to the ground below.

"Wonderful, isn't it, so wonderful..." Nny swooped down sharply to fly level with B. "There's a town that way, that I haven't been to in a while. There's a bar. It'll be full of drunks." He said the word with disdain.

"Excellent. A group of people the world won't miss. And so many ways to kill. Even look like an accident, if we so chose."

"Accident?" Nny laughed wildly, and did a loop in the air, just because he could. "Why would we do that? What fun would that be?"

"Of course, what am I saying."

Beyond was not sturdy enough to attempt something fancy like that.

"What weapons do you have then?"

"Knives, of course. A couple of hammers. A cordless drill. A handsaw. One of those waiter's corkscrews. And my lightsaber." He just had to show that off. "Probably some other stuff I've forgotten."

"So a Jedi has come to Hogwarts? Or perhaps it was a Sith." Sheltered he may have been, but between his escape and his incarceration, he had seen some things, a couple of Star Wars movies among them.

"Good, good, nothing to bludgeon the victim with from high up, but I get the feeling you're more of an 'up-close' person."

"We get all sorts of people here. Eventually it stops being surprising." He laughed again. "I've never really been fond of the distance approach. Sometimes, out of necessity or if I have a fun idea, yeah, but usually I like to feel the impact."

"Ah, I see. It is easier to achieve the desired result when up close, leaving out the human body factor."

He began to drift a bit lower, scouting out the pickings.

Ahh, (somewhat) familiar territory. Nny swooped towards a tree on the edge of town to 'park' their brooms in while they went about their business.

"The bar isn't far from here. And it's been a while since I hit it up, so there should be a decent crowd."

Beyond followed Nny's swoop to ease to a stop.

"Good, good." He flexed his fingers, itching to see blood. Shame he didn't have his own weapons, they did not come here and he was too busy finding A to search for some.

No matter, he could still break bones and draw blood.

Once he'd landed, Nny pulled off his backpack to unzip it, displaying an array of hand-held weapons, many makeshift household items drafted into service as killing tools. "What do you need?"

Beyond looked carefully at each weapon. He selected two knives that he placed in the back of his pants, a handful of skewers-useful for gouging out eyes- and one of the hammers.

"I think this will satisfy me. There are also weapons that could be picked up." Nothing's more fun than whacking the shit out of someone with a garbage can lid.

"Always," Nny agreed with a laugh. He was bristling with weapons already; the backpack he zipped shut and slung back onto his shoulders was merely extras.

After all, knives tended to get left behind.

"The bar's this way," he said, setting out for it.

Ah, the knives were rubbing against his back, he could feel it. He wouldn't be surprised if they nicked him and he bled with his victims.

Beyond smiled as he played with the hammer in his hand, walking, ready to swing at someone.

Nny held his lightsaber, ready to turn it on an slice. It was as much fun to show off as it was to use.

They heard the bar before they saw it. Nny lead them up a vile-smelling alley (the alley that, what seemed like so long ago, had been the site of Devi's first and only kill) to right next to the door.

"After you," he said magnanimously.

Beyond slid the hammer up his sleeve, snuck into the bar, and brought out a drunk, who was under the impression that he was the taxi driver to take him home.

He never saw the lump in Beyond's sleeve. Nor did he see the lump slide out or Beyond swing.

The hammer lands, claw side in, and the drunk stumbled.

Nny barely suppressed a giggle. "It's a start, a start, he said. "But I had something flashier in mind."

He sprang through the door into the bar, a knife dropping into his hand from his sleeve. He flung the knife, catching the bartender in the throat, and turned on his lightsaber at the same time.

"Feel free to panic," he announced to the room at large. "It won't help."

"Well, we must leave some sort of sign, advertising what we are," he noted, prying the hammer out. He entered, picking up a knife on a table, stabbing a patron through the hand. That lucky patron would get to see the entire spectacle before expiring.

He kicked another down, pulling out one of his knives (and drawing blood, he was right) and striking in the chest.

Nny was already whirling and spinning, getting into the zone, lightsaber flickering as he relieved various terrified individuals of their body parts. It was a good thing his boots had good traction; the floor was getting slippery fast.

And here it becomes more evident the differences between Johnny C and Beyond Birthday.

While Nny was speedier, more mass murderer quality, Beyond was more individualized, intend on doing different things to each person.

He's stabbed in the chest, she was sliced across the neck by a piece of glass, his leg clumsily chopped off.

Looking at a terrified patron, he broke a dish and ground the pieces in his eyes.

While varying his approach for each target was a tactic Nny frequently used as well, the lightsaber was just too much fun. With one swing, he decapitated three men, and cut off the top of the head of a woman right behind them. Now, that was fun! Giggling, he leapt up onto a table, surveying the room, picking out his next target.
