Dear everyone,

I am alive having finally found my way out of the labyrynthyne dungeons that make up about ninety percent of this place and am happy to report that exsept for being slightly scuffed I am none the worse for wear. also, I'm not crazy. I jsut got lost.

I hope you have been managing under Bun-Bun okay, any compliants can be directed to George Weasley.

As many pompous assholes before me have said, the show must go on and so it must. we'll be ready with a new stage design in two weeks. Go Team.

Geoffrey Tennant

PS: Has anyone seen my wife?

Hi Neil,

My name is Geoffrey Tennant, originally of the Theatre Sans Argent in Montreal, now residing at Howarts. I'm directing A Midsummer Night's Dream here, a show which I'm told you have some familiarity with?

We're in rehearsals right now, but I'm always open to change. Theatre is nothing if not dynamic. If you're interested, let me know. I'd love to have someone with some experience around here.

Avast, ye director,

This be Talk Like A Pirate Day. Your landlubberly letter rings sweet to mine (lack of visible) ears, but can ye not pepper it with a few timely yarrrs?

Yo-ho,
S to the B.

The message is unsigned, but even without the sparkles, the handwriting is pretty distinctive - who else seems to write letters with a Sharpie?

Boss -

Yeah, we're good, but I'm starting a petition to NOT let Basketball Girl sing. She sounds like a sick cat!

...you were gone? Nobody tells me anything!

Can't put anything past ya, can I? That's why you're the director! :)

You know! Tall girl, short hair, not flat-chested at all which is NOT FAIR. She's one of the fairies? Uh, I think it's the one named after a bug? PLAY A TAPE, DON'T LET HER SING. She's almost as bad as Yomi!

Aw! When people say 'don't ask,' it's always a good story!

We've been managing. Nobody's been stabbed as far as I know, so I think that's okay, right?

Um, while you were gone, we got a new student who's a) sane and b) actually has done the Dream and wanted to get involved somehow. Haven't been able to get a hold of Bun-Bun yet, but is it okay if he helps with backstage, lighting, whatever? His name's Neil Perry and he's in Gryffindor, if that helps.

Thanks,
May Parker

P.S. If you hear from Tomo... please ignore the loud crazy Japanese girl. She's been weirder than usual. Didn't think that was possible.

Stabbed, no. Whacked upside the head repeatedly, yes. Being stabbed is way overrated, trust me.

Amazingly, yes. And he's apparently a lot more sane than half the people at this school. I know that's not saying much, but hey.

Geoffrey--

Good to hear from you! The Narrator would miss you except I got rid of him. I don't know if I've seen your wife--what does she look like? Did you lose her in the dungeons or something?

Don't think I've seen her--I'd remember anybody I hated, I think. Maybe she's found the Room of Requirement? I had a lot of fun there once, so maybe she's found...oh, hell, a whole smoke shop in there or something.

You usually find it when you need it, though that's not a hell of a lot of help. Um. Yeah. Maybe send a homing pigeon owl after her?

Geoffrey,

Hi! This is Kelly Kapoor! I'm sorry to hear that you got scuffed up! That totally ruins shoes. Like, I had the BEST pair of strappy blue slingbacks, and they totally got scuffed up at last year's Halloween party.

It was one of the worst things ever.

Anyway! My lines are all 100% memorized, and I've been practicing my blocking! This is totally going to be the best play ever!

<3,
Kelly

Geoffrey,

It gets really hard, whenever the new summer lines come around.

Of course we can meet up! Just tell me when and where!!!

Also, you know what would be awesome? If we had a few musical numbers! I can totally sing awesome. Just a thought ;)

Kelly

Uh-huh. Geoffrey's reappearance just HAPPENED to coincide with Fraser getting back from Desert Island Central? Clearly, he'd been rebriefed on the undercover mission, and was back on the job.

Mr. Tennant,

Glad you're doing all right! George has been nice enough to help me run lines, so things are all good on my end.

Please let me know if you need help with anything!

AH-HAH. Memory loss. Of course it would be affecting him, especially on the job! Steph wondered if Bob was helping him out at all, or if Fraser was going at this one completely alone, in a fragile mental state.

Geoffrey,

I'm fairly certain that you live in Gryffindor. If you stay in the Owlery, I can come get you.

Grabbing her wand and ultra-stylish utility belt (in case Trouble was Afoot!), Steph hightailed it to the Owlery, expecting to see Fraser...communing with the Owls, or something.

Instead, he was just kind of sitting there. Understandable! It was probably a stressful day.

"Hey," she waved, walking into the smelly-as-heck alcove. "Ready to get out of here?"

Man. Fraser was really going for the hobo look. "Come on, we're only about five minutes away from the Gryffindor common room." He could get himself a change of clothes! ...And maybe a haircut. There was undercover, and then there was escaped-mental-patient hair.

"So," she said, ignoring the fact that there was still an unpleasent smell in the air, despite being outside of the owlery, "how did you get yourself lost for a month in one building? Who does that?"

See how tactful she was? Didn't mention the smell at all!

Irony? One of the concepts Steph had yet to grasp. "See, my first two weeks here, I lurked around, mapping things out." That had been a very tiring two weeks. But Fraser would undoubtedly appreciate the need for a reliable map! "I didn't want to ask the house elves for directions, because I was about eighty percent convinced they were evil mutant dictators. It was the ears that sold it."

...Steph left out the part where she had once thought Hogwarts might have been a hell dimension. Even though that was a completely viable option, in her world.

She paused, looking from side to side. "I'm positive. Gryffindor's my house, too. I can get to it with my eyes closed." Maybe this was some kind of code? "Unless there's somewhere else you think you belong?"

Haha! Steph could code-talk, too.

From: [identity profile] busty-robin.livejournal.com
Aaah. So he was hiding out in another house. Completely understandable! Everyone in Gryffindor would recognize him.

...well, okay, not everyone. Fraser didn't seem to have all that many friends, which Steph didn't understand. He was so personable, when he wasn't dressed like a...Geoffrey!

"Do you mean Ravenclaw?"

Unless...was he making an allusion towards Steph's former secret identity? She hoped not! Steph would certainly have donned the Girl Wonder costume if it was an emergency, but she preferred her Spoiler get-up. Better color scheme.

Oh, there were tons of things Steph had thought about. Like where Fraser'd gotten such a realistic wig. And if Ray and Bob were in on all of this. And who was feeding Dief while Fraser was undercover, and why there was a giant lobster in the production (not that there was anything wrong with being a giant lobster), and if she'd gotten her part based on her own merits or because someone was needed on The Inside.

Also, on a play-specific note, she was wondering how her projection was coming along, and if George was as okay with her kissing another boy (in-character!) as he pretended. But that was not Relevant to the present situation.

"Ravenclaw it is! Sorry about the mix-up." She walked along, shrugging. "I guess you can't expect that much from a school named after a skin condition."

She...wasn't going to ask what a Sir Toby Belch was. It did not sound pleasant. And anyway, they were nearly at 'Geoffrey's dorm. "You're in luck, because I'm pretty sure they keep the door to Ravenclaw open at all hours. Too many alcoholics for people to try and remember weekly passwords." She paused, gesturing to said propped open door. "Here we go!"

Mr. Tennant,

Thank you so much for contacting me! I love theatre and have a special fondness for A Midsummer Night's Dream (I played Puck at a local theatre near my school this past December). I understand that I missed auditions, but I would be thrilled to assist with the production in anyway, backstage or possibly understudying or anything you want me to do.

Thanks again!
