Humiliated and confused, Axel was swiftly making his way from the classroom he had just fled from to - well the plan had been to the Gryffindor Common Room but he no idea where he was now; either due to the adrenaline or the fact that he was still getting used to the place.

The lesson had not been a complete disaster. He had defeated the Boogy thing but he was confused than ever now. The fact he had seen the thing meant he could fear, could feel. The fact that he had seen Roxas...and now Roxas knew. Things couldn't get any worse. He was getting more and more angry with himself with each step he took.

Amazingly, Roxas had taken all the right turns, and Axel's fleeing back came into view. Unwilling to stop running in case Axel might escape, he crashed into the taller boy from behind. Desperate hands wrapped around him and clenched in the leather of his coat.

"Axel," He panted, face pressed against Axel's back, "Axel, don't go."

Axel nearly fell right off his feet. "Oof." He turned, lanky limbs flailing for a second. "Nearly gave me a heart-attack, kid." he mumbled, his voice a little too devoid of emotion. He frowned.

Roxas released him long enough to move around to his front, but quickly re-attached himself. Memories of his boggart were still fresh in his mind, and Axel leaving him now was not acceptable. He pressed his face into Axel's chest, inhaling deeply. It was odd to him that Axel's scent did so much to calm him down.

"I don't care about your boggart, Axel." He said, words spilling out as he spoke quickly. "I don't care, just don't leave me all alone."

The mention of Axel's boggart brought back the image of dying Roxas, fading Roxas all over again. He grimaced, even if Roxas didn't care...Axel did and it hurt that Roxas still blatantly didn't care about his slightly more than obvious feelings. He knew he was embarrassed, but Roxas should've cared about it. He growled and pulled Roxas off him, somewhat angrily. "You're a big boy, Roxas. Stop acting like a cissy girl."

Roxas stared up at him, his hands still hanging onto Axel. He frowned, then spoke, his voice hard.

"Sorry, watching everyone who's important to me vanish infront of my eyes has a tendancy to upset me. You're the one who said he didn't want me to walk away, so why are you doing it to me?"

Briefly, Roxas realized his brave speaking would mean a lot more if he weren't clinging to Axel like a child. He didn't care though. He'd be damned if he let Axel out of his sight now.

"I'm not walking away from you. Just stop acting like a little kid. We all have to face our fears. Sometimes it's hard, but you need to stand on your own two feet. It was an illusion, one that you bet, now get over it."

Axel was facing the floor, he wasn't sure if he was exactly talking to Roxas or to himself.

"You beat yours too, but you're still being weird." Roxas said, then took a deep breath. "I'm not dead, and I'm not leaving again. And.... If you want me to, I'll dress up like that for you." He knew he had to be blushing at least a little bit now.

After what seemed like far too long to Roxas, he finally made it to his door. After unlocking it and opening it wide, he tugged Axel inside and closed the door behind him. A flick of his wand brought the candles to life and revealed a rather small room, the only furnishings a bed, desk and chair, and a nightstand.

"It's not that special, but they didn't make me share with anyone, so I like it." He turned back to Axel and smiled up at him. "What do you think?"

"Hmmm." Axel hummed lowly and stood behind Roxas, rubbing his arms with gloved hands. "It's lovely." He drawled into his ear. He smirked. "Ahh!" breathing deeply he fell onto Roxas's bed. "Yours is so comfy. Mine is rubbish, I swear this school is out to get me; first stairs, then having to face your worst fears and BAD matresses, what's next?" He lay down on his back.

Axel's breath against his ear sent shivers down Roxas' spine, and he made a faint unhappy noise when Axel moved away. Smirking at Axel's comment about the stairs, Roxas sat down next to Axel and looked down at him.

"I'm glad you approve. I would have been so upset if you didn't like it." He joked. Not exactly sure what their boundaries were now, he scooted a little closer, hands laying limply in his lap.

Axel breathed a laugh through his nose and put his hands behind his head. He opened one bright eye, watching Roxas with concern. "Roxas. You okay?" He placed a hand on his arm gently.

"Yeah," Roxas said, moving closer and laying down next to Axel. He put his head on the taller boy's chest, his hand lifting to curl in the leather of Axel's coat. "I'm just glad you're here, that's all."

"Me too." He said back, slowly chewing his lip, eyebrows furrowed in thought. He brought one hand up to run through the blonde hair, "you know...I really...really thought I'd never see you again."

Axel's eyes widened in shock. Tempting a Nobody with the prospect that they are or could be whole again was simply cruel. Nobodies could not feel, they were scraggy leftovers that belonged nowhere. They were not evil, nor good. They simply 'were' and as such they are alone. Axel could hear Xenmas's voice over and over again. He sneered. "Well. I'm glad you're so confident, Roxas." In truth, Axel was certain that he had felt something since before leaving the Organization. He had never wanted to believe it, the idea of his hopes going so far up and the chance of them crashing down again, was too much to bear; for Nobodies did feel something...pain and loneliness. He thought about telling Roxas this, but to voice one's thoughts meant to believe them, to realise them. He wasn't sure he could handle have his hopes of being whole torn from him.

Instead, he simply looked at Roxas sadly. "I'm fucked up, partner." He mumbled.

Roxas lifted his hands to Axel's face and pulled his head downward, so he could look him in the eye level. "I want to fix you. As your partner, and as your boyfriend." With that he kissed Axel softly on the lips, trying to convey all his feelings, devotion, and determination to help into that one kiss.

Axel kept his eyes open and sighed into Roxas's lips. He admired Roxas's determination, even if it was foolish. He frowned though, "I want to fix myself. I can." He felt strength run through him, he pressed Roxas into the nearest wall, devouring his lips savagely, passionately; his eyes sliding shut whilst gripping his waist.

Roxas gasped in surprise at Axel's sudden response and put his arms around the taller boy's neck. "I know you can, Axel," he whispered, then gave up speaking. He pressed his lips into the kiss, doing his best to match Axel's passion as his heart fluttered somewhere in the vicinity of his throat. He liked it when Axel showed his affection this way. With a quiet, needful cry, he arched his back and pressed his entire body against Axel's, desperate to be as close as possible.

Axel could feel anger at himself build up; at his failure, pity, weakness. He pulled back from the kiss. "I hate existing this way, Roxas." He looked him square in the eyes and pressed against him almost violently. "I don't want to be questioning...this," he gestured between them with one hand, the other resting the wall beside Roxas's head. "Anymore."

Roxas bit back a gasp as Axel ground against him, trying to focus on making his mouth form words of consolement. "I-If you don't want to question it, you have to accept it. Some day, you have to accept that I like you, and that you feel something for me, too." He leaned up to kiss his cheek. "I'll always be here, Axel. Always."

When Roxas woke up, he was confused as to why he wasn't in his bed alone. Looking over at the sleeping redhead, Roxas flushed slightly when he remembered the.... activities of the night before. He rolled onto his side and just lay there, staring at Axel's face. It really hadn't changed that much, since the last time he'd seen him. Reaching his hand out, he traced his fingers until the black marks under Axel's eyes, then leaned forward to kiss Axel gently.

As he shifted closer, he had looked down to make sure he wasn't going to bump Axel, and his blush deepened when he saw a slight bulge where Axel's hips were. With a grin, Roxas removed his hand from Axel's face and slid it under the covers, where he pressed his hand flat against Axel's erection lightly.
