Malingo had be out here several times in the last few days, scouting out the best place to speak the glyph. He'd finally chosen a low rise at the edge of the lake, slightly obscured from the view of the castle by a small stand of trees. He'd invited a few people, and if someone else showed up, they'd be welcome to watch, but if there was too big a crowd, the geshrat wasn't sure he wouldn't just freeze up. So he'd chosen a place that was, hopefully, more or less out of the way. Now, he was out there, and he was sure he'd made a good choice. It was a good launching spot - a little late in the day, now that he thought of it (there would be little in the way of thermals), but then, the last time he'd spoken one, it had been on Ninnyhammer, where it was always Ten at night.

Now all he had to do was hope the people he had invited could find him out there.

(Semi-open RP. If your pup's likely to be wandering in that direction, feel free to let them drop in.)

Chance shows up promptly at the time the geshrat specified in his owl to her. There's no way she wants to miss this. He promised her in his Sorting that if she needed it, he would try to perform (was that even the right verb? she didn't know) a glyph for her; she has had a vague notion that one of these days she may want something in Birmingham, and more recently, a grimmer and more definite notion she may want to see some people near Providence, if people they could be called. For now, it's all hypothetical and very much uncertain. But if she ever does call on Malingo for travel assistance, she'd like to know in advance what she'd be letting herself in for.

When she arrives at the lake's edge, she waves at him, uncertain whether actually speaking would be in some way disruptive.

*Zel also arrives on time; he'd found one of the volumes Malingo had mentioned, and the more he read, the more he wanted to see a glyph in person. He seats himself on a rock, but an odd expression crosses his face and he gets back up quickly. Sitting on cold rocks is not the best idea in the world.*

Arriving just on time, robe undone and ink spatters on her hands, Lily glanced around the lake, smiling at Chance and waving at a man she didn't know. This ought to be good.
