Open RP: Happy Easter!

Although the Easter Bunny arrived in time for Easter, he was rather woefully late in spreading the Easter joy to Hogwarts. This may have been because he was sleeping 16 hours a day, because he'd tried playing DDR in the Gryffindor common room, or just because he was extremely lazy.

Today, anybody that wandered through the Great Hall might actually find their eyes hurting from the sheer amount of shiny-wrapped chocolate eggs, piled in dozens of baskets and of many different colors. Some of the eggs had items inside, detectable by the rattling one would hear upon shaking them; the items would range from anything from more chocolate to any kind of toy one could imagine. Attached to all the baskets is this note:

Happy Easter, biznatches.

Don't moan and whine about how it's late, I KNOW. I had better things to be doing, so you get your chocolate now. If you need me, just holler. I'll be around the room somewhere.

She missed the ear, but grazed right where it meets his head. He quickly shut his eyes. "Oh, that feels good," he let slip before opening his eyes again.

"Well, my name is Mr. Ofdensen, but I think that's a bit hard for a child to pronounce. So you may call me Charles."

"I can say Ofdensen. It's a weird name, though. Can I scratch your ears?" She reached out again. "I can also say Saleucami and Vien'sai'Malloc. But I think I'll call you Charles anyway."

"It is a weird name." Ofdensen had to agree with her on that. He thought for a second. "Yes, you may."

Oh, Lord in heaven, don't let the boys see this.

He tilted his head a bit so she can reach them better.

She scratched happily. "Are you normally a human when you're not fuzzy?"

His eyes fluttered shut. Oh damn did that feel good.

"Mmm-hmm, I am. And Aayla, what happened to you when you ate the chocolate?"

"I got little. And I don't think my brain is working right." She frowned. "I have a lightsaber."

"So, you're normally an adult?" He furrowed his brow at the 'brain not working right' part. "Maybe you should see someone about that."

Unbeknownst to him, by now his tail was wagging.

"A lightsaber, huh? You must be a Jedi."

"I think it'll go away on its own. It did last time, except I wasn't little then." She nods emphatically. "That's right! I'm a Jedi Master. What planet are you from?"

"Well, I'm from here. Earth." His eyes were still shut and he gave a small but content smile at the continued scratching.

"I'm from Ryloth." She scratched more enthusiastically. "I can read minds," she said, very matter-of-factly. And then another abrupt tangent. "How does it feel having a tail?"

And that reminds him that he has a tail.

"Well, it get in the way. And I can't really control it." Otherwise it wouldn't be whacking against his leg now.

"That's very strange." She thought for a minute. "I can wrap my lekku so they don't hit me in the face. Can you wrap your tail around your leg?"

"I've tried." And failed. Besides, he was too busy enjoying a good scratch to worry about his tail.

Good lord, he's turning into a dog.

"Oh well." She concentrated on scratching for a while. "My arm's getting tired, Mr. Charles. Does your fur itch? Oh, one time? When I was taller? I was in the army."

"Then you can stop scratching, if you want to." And he is resisting the urge to whimper. Because that is beneath him.

"You were in an army? Did your side win?"

She let her arm drop, but switched to the other one. After all, it always felt good when people tickled her lekku, and she guessed that being scratched behind the ears felt good for him in the same way. "Sort of, I think. The Seperatists lost, but the Jedi all died. I got shot." Also said matter-of-factly. "Have you ever had Chinese food? It's really good."

"I have had Chinese food. I especially like Szechuan food."

"I liked the noodles. The peppers were very hot, though. You know, if you ask the elves here to make it, they will! And they don't put things in it. Not things that make you little or turn you into a puppy, anyway."

He had to laugh at that. "I'll keep that in mind, Aayla."

His arms were getting tired holding her, so he walked over to a bench and sat down, letting her sit on his lap.

She curled up happily. With the fur, he reminded her of a Wookiee in a suit. Except much shorter. "Wookiees don't have tails," she felt the need to inform him. "Which House are you in?"

"No, they don't. I'm in Hufflepuff." Making damned sure no one saw him, he started stroking her lekku, much like one would stroke a human girl's hair.

No one had done that for her in years, not since she was a youngling in the Temple. She closed her eyes happily, letting her lekku twitch in delight. "I'm in Gryffindor."

"That's a good house for a Jedi to be in." He absentmindedly scratched his ear while scratching her lekku.

"It's okay. There's another Jedi there, but she's from after I was dead for a long time." She settled back, yawning. "You're a very nice person."

"I..." Nice? Him? He hasn't been called nice in a long time. Efficient, yes. A bastard, yes. Some unintelligable Scandinavian words after he saved Toki and Skwisgaar, yes.

But not nice.

He didn't think he could still be nice.

"Thank you. And you're a very sweet young lady."
