Slug Club Meeting Number 1 - Slytherin Common Room

OOC: Sorry it's a bit later than I promised. All who were invited to the first meeting of the Slug Club are welcome and encouraged to post. It IS in the Slytherin common room, so univited Slytherins may crash if they wish. Though the description is in prose, I think it might be easiest to role-play this in first person with asteriks. Or however you feel comfortable. Enjoy!


The Slytherin common room is hardly recognizable. Red, pink, and white streamers decorate the ceiling while magical confetti of the same color falls, but disappears before hitting any surfaces. There are several tables full of an assortment of drinks, both alcoholic and virgin, as well as snacks including red, heart-shaped rice crispy treats, bowls full of candy hearts proclaiming things such as 'be mine', trays full of cookies and other delicious

A light, jazzy tune plays in the background, while Slughorn, dressed in a red smoking jacket decorated with white hearts, sits comfortably in an armchair, waiting for the newest Slug Club members to arrive.

Not that much, believe it or not. It's a combination of sweetness with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Hence the name. Fun to watch, gruesome when they bring the bodies a little closer.

Learned it whilst in the orphanage, you see. Mainly due to my idiotic mother dying but then what can one expect from an inbred hick-type family whose ideas of family were mutilated a good many centuries before?

So when do you think Mr. Greyback and Albus will join us? Neither of them should be too busy with classes, I think.

They shouldn't be. It's at night and as far as I know, there aren't any classes scheduled for that time. Fenrir tends to become more active now. In any case, it shouldn't take them long to arrive.

The fact that it's so damn cheerful. Or am I only thinking of myself? Ah well.

I know there's a reason why I despise this holiday but for the life of me, I can't recall what it was.

In any event, it will be over in two days and you won't have to feel nauseous every time you see a cuddling couple. *nods at Tom and Ryuuji, who he's noticed are getting quite close*

True enough. That would have brought the festivities down quite a bit, I'd imagine.

Did you actually bring a few of them along with you? I can try and convince Severus to let you make more in the potions classroom assuming your dorm isn't large enough to hold all that you'd need.

... I do appreciate the offer, but I don't think I'll be needing Severus' labs. Though my own quarters are a bit more cramped than I'm used to, I am making do with what I have.
