Open RP in Hufflepuff

((open RP in Hufflepuff common room - forward dated to after the big SB party - come join the weirdness!!!))

"WOWEE, what a PLACE!!!" Gonzo was delighted with the castle, and had spent the last hour tooling around the halls, being amazed by the decor, literally. He had held a 20 minute long conversation with a wizard in a large portrait debating the merits of additives to gunpowder in cannon firing.

It was weird, it was oddball, it was unbelievable. Gonzo loved it.

He made his way to Hufflepuff's common room, and after chatting a while with a few more portraits, flopped down on a big armchair.

"All I need now is a room!!!"

A loud *POP!* startled him. An odd creature, pointy-eared, with bulbous eyes, about the same size as himself and wearing a tea-towel, appeared before him. "Welcome to Hogwarts! We have one ready for you. Is there anything else you'd like?"

Gonzo gaped, not quite sure he heard what he heard. "Anything?!?"

The house-elf nodded.

Gonzo whipped out a list, that unrolled, and unrolled, and unrolled.

The house elf gulped.

"Well, for starters, I need a live badger, some wax paper, and a thimble..."

Samwell entered the Hufflepuff common room, looking rather glum. He'd been telling himself that there were good reasons he'd sworn the oaths that he had, among them was the fact that girls were frightening and confusing creatures.

He was lost in his own thoughts, which mainly involved a lot of self-pity, but Gonzo's conversation with the house-elf made him look up in bemused surprise.

"What's all that for?" he asked, indicating the huge list of seemingly random items.

Gonzo waved a hello to the newcomer. "Just your everyday supplies. OH!!! That reminds me," he addressed himself to the house elf, "I also need three tons of saltpeter, and a lollipop."

"My name's Gonzo." He held out a blue, furry hand to Sam in greeting. "What's your name, age, and favorite garnish?"

"Everyday supplies for what?!" Sam had officially forgotten about his fit of emo in his interest in the newcomer.

He shook Gonzo's hand, regarding him with something like fascinated horror. "I'm Samwell Tarly, formerly of the Night's Watch, I'm sixteen, and my favorite garnish? Um... well... I really havent thought about it much."
