Rory had camped out in the library to do some studying, As evidenced by the pile of books in front of her. Or... well, under her. She'd fallen asleep there. And unfortunately, the library being quiet as libraries tend to be, she'd stayed asleep for... well. Hours. probably people had seen her there. Possibly made comments. There was a very distinct chance page sixty five of Hogwarts: A History printed on her cheek. Hopefully she wasn't drooling. She certainly wasn't snoring, at least(Again. Libraries, and quiet.)
She did wake up, eventually, and with a start big enough to knock herself out of her chair. Rory wasn't entirely without grace often, but it seems when it came, it came all at once. Blearily, she pushed her seat back up and resumed her place in it. She picked up her book and propped it up a little, attempting to use it as a sort of a shield to minimize the chance that she might be recognized. Though she was aware it was a pretty poor disguise. Still. the less she was labeled by the incident, the better. Especially if she had, in fact, been drooling.

Date: 2007-02-10 12:13 am (UTC)"Oh... My God. Paris. When did you?.."
Nevermind. Best not to ask. Probably the answer would induce Rory to remind Paris she needed to eat. And Paris didn't really like being told what to do, especially when she was hyper focused.
"Here. Take it."
She handed it over paused for a minute, and then she leaned over, and in a low whisper asked
"I wasn't drooling, was I?"

Date: 2007-02-10 12:31 am (UTC)"What? No, you didn't drool." Pause. "I think you did start quoting the first stanza of The Waste Land at some point, but you shut up when I kicked your chair, so it wasn't a big deal."

Date: 2007-02-10 12:49 am (UTC)She responded, rubbing her face a little. Ugh. she could feel the mark the book left on her face.
"How long was I out?"
In other words, how long was it since she last ate. Her stomach sounded a bit like it was about to stage a rebellion and escape.

Date: 2007-02-10 02:17 am (UTC)"I don't know. But you were asleep when I got here, which was..." She checks her watch. "About two hours and forty-three minutes ago." She looks up and nods. "For what that's worth. Anyway, you have no idea how bad it is for your spine to fall asleep like that. Especially since you barely moved the whole time."

Date: 2007-02-10 02:31 am (UTC)Valid question. Also. Three hours? Of sleeping on books. Ow. That was...She rolled her neck a bit, with a slightly pained look on her face.
"I've got a pretty good idea, actually."
Rubbing her eyes and yawning a bit. Three hours. Three hour since her last snack. Three hours since her last cup of coffee. This was not the Gilmore way.
"Oh, man. Now I want chocolate."

Date: 2007-02-10 02:42 am (UTC)She goes back to reading for the moment, although after a few seconds, the whole 'chocolate' thing seems to sink it. "Maybe...maybe that wouldn't be bad..." she says contemplatively. She's sort of run low on the snacks she smuggled in from the dining hall, after all. And the brain requires glucose to run properly...
