Backdated to early Christmas morning.
More owls go winging their way through the school, delivering goodies.
((If I've missed anyone, and I'm pretty sure I have, I apologize profusely.))
Fred and George will receive identical owls. Their notes read:
Darling,
This gift was entirely your father's idea. He only wishes he could be here celebrating the holidays with us.
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Mum
Their packages contain copies of the Anarchist Cookbook as well as a Weasley sweater and scarf and an assortment of Honeydukes sweets.
Ron's owl is carrying a Weasley sweater and scarf (in maroon, naturally) as well as a bag of Honeyduke's chocolate and a secondhand but still far superior to what he had before broom. The note reads:
Ron,
Have a merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy these.
Love always,
Mum
The owl contains a Weasley sweater and scarf, a bag of Honeydukes sweets, and an amulet which contains a prophylactic charm as well as a small, tasteful set of pearl earrings. The note reads:
The note enclosed reads:
Dear Ginny,
Merry Christmas. I'm sorry we couldn't have anyone home. Every girl needs jewelry, and every girl needs a charm like this, although I certainly hope you don't require one for a while. Of course you know you can come talk to your mum about anything, including... well... personal issues. Also, let me know when we can work on getting you unsquibbed.
Love,
Mum
The owl is carrying a Weasley sweater, scarf, Honeydukes sweets, and a book on advanced wizarding law. The note, which is blotchy, as if someone was crying while writing it, reads:
Dear Percy,
I just want you to know that there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you, and that despite everything that's happened, I'm still your mum and I love you.
Merry Christmas, son.
Love always,
Mum
The owl contains a Weasley sweater and scarf, an assortment of Honeydukes chocolates, and a subscription to Quidditch Illustrated. ((Or whatever the wizarding equivalent is really called.)) The note reads:
Harry dear,
Merry Christmas. I'm sorry we couldn't have you all over at the Burrow for the holidays. I hope you like your gifts.
Love always,
Mrs. Weasley
The owl contains a Weasley sweater and scarf, Honeydukes sweets, and a wizarding photo album filled with pictures of Harry during various stages of growing up, although most of the pictures are of Harry during his Hogwarts years.
The note, blotchy as if someone was crying whilst writing it, reads:
Lily,
It isn't much of a gift, but I've been working on collecting these pictures ever since my sorting. I know you couldn't be there for Harry's childhood, but I hope this helps a little.
Yours always,
Molly
The owl contains a Weasley sweater and scarf, assorted Honeydukes sweets, an amulet with a prophylactic charm on it, and a small wooden figurine of a rampant lion. The note reads:
Dear Cersei,
I hope you like the figurine. A young woman in Ravenclaw house got it for me whilst she was in London. The amulet contains a charm that every woman should find exceedingly useful.
Yours,
Molly
The owl is carrying a Weasley sweater, assorted Honeydukes sweets, and a rain stick. The note reads:
Dear Constable Fraser,
I thought you could use a little Christmas cheer. The gifts aren't much, but I hope you enjoy them.
Merry Christmas,
Molly Weasley
The owl is carrying a Weasley sweater, scarf, a bunch of Honeydukes chocolates, and a pair of socks. The note reads:
Dear Jilly,
Thank you so much for helping me with my last-minute Christmas shopping. It isn't much, but I wanted you to have something.
Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Molly Weasley
The owl is carrying a Weasley sweater, scarf, Honeydukes sweets, and a book titled Charms Every Witch Should Know. The note reads:
Hermione,
Merry Christmas, dear. I hope the book proves useful. We should have tea sometime soon.
Love,
Molly Weasley
The owl contains a scarf to go along with the sweater he got for his birthday, honeydukes sweets, and a bottle of firewhiskey.
The note reads:
Sirius,
I know it isn't much, and I didn't know what to get you, but Arthur always seems to think you can't go wrong with alcohol. Merry Christmas.
Yours,
Molly
The owl contains a Weasley sweater and scarf and some Honeydukes chocolates. The note reads:
Salamander,
I was inexcusably rude to you during our last meeting on the day we switched bodies. I do hope you'll forgive me, and I also hope I got your proper size right.
Yours,
Molly Weasley

Return owl, warded
Date: 2006-12-26 03:57 am (UTC)Molly ~
This is the best present I could have
There's truly no way
How did you
Look at how much he looks like
Merlin, he's so young
These are
Thank you. I honestly... There are...
Thank you.

Return owl, warded to play "Deck the Halls" for anyone else
Date: 2006-12-26 09:34 pm (UTC)It really wasn't too mucyh of a problem. Harry spent so much time with Ron that it was easy catching them unawares for pictures. I wish I'd gotten more of Harry's early years, but, not to insult your family or anything, but I'd have probably been sent to Azkaban if I were allowed anywhere near that Dursley woman.
At any rate, I'm glad you like the pictures.
Yours,
Molly
P.S. Look, see? I didn't cry at all writing this note. That has to be an improvement, yeah?
Magpie to Molly Weasly.
Date: 2006-12-26 05:37 pm (UTC)Molly,
Think nothing of it good woman, it was a rather irksome time that played on the nerves of all concerned. I forgive you hapilly since there is nothing to forgive and attach a very small gift to prove I'm not simply saying that. I also express the most ardent admiration of your talent for sizing since the garment fits admirably and shall keep me very warm during the coming months of the winter season. A merry...cristmas (is that the correct spelling for this festival?) to you and thank you very much.
yours,
Salamander
Return magpie, warded to play "Joy to the World" for anyone else
Date: 2006-12-26 09:38 pm (UTC)Thank you for the flower. It's lovely. And I'm glad the sweater fits. I hope the rest of your Christmas is merry, and I hope to meet you again under less irksome circumstances.
Yours,
Molly
a school owl brings an utterly unwarded reply (Cersei doesn't know how)
Date: 2006-12-26 07:09 pm (UTC)I am overwhelmed by your kindness, as I always have been. This holiday is not something we have in Westeros, or its giftgiving tradition. I do love giving gifts. Now that I am not entirely without means of my own, I can indulge in the practice. It is difficult to be in reduced circumstances; if you ever come to Westeros, I will do much better than this; but please do accept this small token with my best wishes and regards.

*accompanying the note is a silver teapot*
Return owl, warded to play "We Three Kings" for anyone else
Date: 2006-12-26 09:44 pm (UTC)The teapot is lovely. I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of it. Thank you!
As for being in reduced circumstances, as they say, it's the thought that counts.
Yours,
Molly
P.S. Remind me and I'll show you how to ward your owls. The charm is really quite useful.
Hedwig returns
Date: 2006-12-26 10:14 pm (UTC)Thanks very much for the gifs, hope you like this...

Return owl, charmed to sing "God Rest Ye Merry Hippogriffs"
Date: 2006-12-27 04:15 am (UTC)Molly,
Arthur is a very smart man. The Firewhisky is brilliant, as are the scarf and the sweets. Thanks very much!
I'm glad you came up here, Molly. Happy Christmas!
-Sirius
PS The parchment is for writing to Arthur (I got it from this Michael bloke (http://community.livejournal.com/hogwarts_hocus/914269.html) in Slytherin - a real berk, but he sells good parchment), and I charmed the music box to play 'A Cauldron Full of Hot, Strong Love' instead of whatever songs it came with. If Arthur decides to take it apart and can't work out how to fix it, let me know. I think I know how the Muggle gears inside it work.

Date: 2006-12-27 04:49 am (UTC)At first, I thought you were telling George and me that we need to learn how to cook. But then I realised you were telling us how to make Muggle explosives, narcotics, and Extendable Ears...which means that you're the wickedest mum in the world. Thanks!
The sweets and sweater were tops, too.
Love,
Fred

Date: 2006-12-27 07:03 am (UTC)The cookbook was aces - tell dad that we most definitely will put it to good use.
Er, speaking of that, can you remind me of that cleaning spell you use to get the soot out of our robes?
And the sweater and sweets were smashing. Fred and I are the envy of Gryffindor.
Love,

Date: 2006-12-27 11:10 am (UTC)Thank you very much! This is such a nice present! I hope you have a great Christmas, and yes, I would like some tea one day.
Thank you once again!
