OOC: The Calendar Pups

Props to the mods for being awesome and clearing this.

OK. Nny came up with the idea of a Cafepress hogwarts_hocus calendar. Because of Cafepress’ ToS which the mods needed in order to give clearance to such a project, sadly, this is not to be. But on the upside, this is free!

We want to do a hogwarts_hocus calendar. If you want to draw a month, comment under the thread which asks for your name, email address, main pup, what month you’re drawing and what characters you plan to have in. We ask the other month-drawing muns to check this—we don’t want multiple drawings of the same characters, and if possible we want all of the characters in. Crowd scenes are your friends, people! This could be an h_h canon scene (though that may be difficult) or a non-canon one.

The aim of this calendar is to have as many characters as possible in. Muns, if you want your characters to be used or at least are willing to give permission, please comment under the thread that asks for your pups you’d let be drawn (bearing in mind they may not be depicted in a favourable light), and a brief physical description.

If you’re doing a month, I’d like to be able to publish the calendar by December the 25th as a joint community present. The deadline for your calendar part is December the 22nd. Send me an email with the image file attached, and I will respond saying that I got it to put your minds at ease.

The picture should be A4 size, landscape, either digital or on a plain piece of paper, scanned in (as mine will be). I’ll upload them to photobucket, or if anyone would like to host them, feel free, and if someone with Excel could be a dear and do the actual calendary part, I’d be in your debt. *only today discovered that her computer does not have Excel* .

And then you can keep the images on the computer or print them off, make the calendar and have a hogwarts_hocusy year.

These months and the cover page are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The subject will be a canon scene from one of the magic chocolate incidents (April Fools, y'know). Possibly a mashup of chars from several chocolate incidents.

Jenny: Catform, plump and golden. Human, motherly, plump, short white hair and a smile.

Valentine: Late 20's, tall, thin, black hair to shoulders in ringlets, skin dyed white, painted red lips (usually in a smile), heavily mascaraed eyes, wears black.

Joscelin: Mid-forties, tall, long pale blond hair usually worn in a braid, blue eyes, baldric with sword on his back, twin daggers worn low on his hips, metal vambraces.

Arya: 10-11, small and scrawny, unkempt lusterless brown hair, brown eyes, long face, usually barefoot, with Needle (short sword, thin and pointed) at her side.

I have no artistic talent, so no fanart offerings here, I'm afraid. However, people are more than welcome to include my chars in their pics!

Stephen: Basically, Paul Bettany as he appears in the role of Stephen Maturin in the film "Master and Commander," only shorter (to allow for book canon), and no longer wearing sideburns; he's got a modern haircut and wears modern clothing now. The galleries at paulbettany.net will give you all the Stephen you'd ever want, plus lots of blond!Bettany eye candy that I have to darken the hair color on if I want to make icons out of 'em.

Cooper: This one is easy as it's a TV canon: Kyle MacLachlan played the role of Cooper. Google images (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=Agent+Cooper&btnG=Search+Images) will give you a number of results. Most of them look alike, largely because Cooper's "look" remains essentially unchanged throughout the series.

Morfin: Looks like Al Franken's character Stuart Smalley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuart_Smalley).

Strong Bad: Looks like ... Strong Bad (http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Strong_Bad) :)

Shibuya Yuuri: A 16-year-old Japanese boy with round anime eyes. Friendly and open in expression. You'll find more Yuuri images than you can shake a stick at here (http://yummysushipajamas.com/ipw-web/gallery/mao).

Camilla Macaulay: A slim blonde woman in her late 20s. Her PB is Cate Blanchett. cateblanchett.net is comprehensive.

Brienne of Tarth: A tall, muscular woman, fairly flat-chested, with a broad face; blonde with wide blue eyes which are considered her only beautiful feature. Her PB is Kristen Johnston (who played Sally in "3rd Rock from the Sun"); I've had a devil of a time trying to find pics of Kristen Johnston that aren't glammed up and smiley, so your best bet may be Brienne's LJ userpics, unless you have access to 3rd Rock screenshots, and even then Sally's more sexy than Brienne will ever be. Brienne has been taught she's hideous, and carries herself accordingly.

DEATH: A big effin' skeleton, but with blue stars in his eyes. Wears a big black cloak and cowl with an Omega pin and carries an enormous scythe, and sometimes a sword.

Draco Malfoy: Looks like Tom Felton (http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=draco+malfoy&btnG=Search), but somewhat older -- he is currently 18 years old.

Kazuo Kiriyama: A tall, somewhat physically imposing Japanese boy. Has wild hair dyed reddish-blonde. Often expressionless, and tends to hunch a lot and/or lean on things. Always wears a silver collar.
