The bell began to strike midnight.
One. Two. Three. Four.
A brief chill passed through the Great Hall. Jack’s grin widened.
Five. Six. Seven.
He glanced up at the words above the door. They still looked perfectly innocent.
Eight. Nine. Ten. Eleven.
There was a distinct change in the atmosphere as the spell began to work. The world turned more unstable.
Twelve.
ASK NOT FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS, IT TOLLS FOR THEE
The words began to glow...
((• At the stroke of midnight, the characters currently in the Great Hall shall turn into whatever they’re dressed as. Their memories will be altered, so they won’t remember who they are.
• The spell is limited to the Great Hall, so should any character leave it, they’ll turn back into themselves, probably a wee bit confused. Should they re-enter, they’ll fall under the spell again.
• Muns for very powerful characters (Antichrists, gods, anthropomorphic representations, religious figures of any sort), I leave it up to you to decide if you want your character to remember who they are. Just remember, should any of them attempt to force other characters to remember who they are as well, they will fail, no matter how powerful they are.
• The instant it seems like a character is going to hurt another character, the spell will wear off for both of them. It’s up to each individual mun to decide what happens after that.
• The spell will wear off permanently the next day. It’s up to you if your character remembers what he or she did while they were under it.
• Have fun! Okay, so it’s not a rule, more of a recommendation, but still. ^_^ Also, you got any questions, or feel like I left anything out, send me an OOC note, yes?))

Date: 2006-11-03 06:58 am (UTC)Long fangs slipping out, his smile was a predatory thing, and his words were wickedly self-assured, "You said it was a combination of our magics first, and now you claim that it is somehow yours? Do make up your mind which lie you would rather profess to be the truth."
Ryuuji watched them warily, ready to intervene if necessary. He loved Terry too much to let some vampire tear into him.

Date: 2006-11-03 07:26 am (UTC)Somehow a touch between them was mutually seductive. And he knew he didn't want the creature. He simply wanted to prove his point. In fact, the sight of the fangs made him want to back away. Which made him stroke his fingers instead, determined not to break first.
He cared not at percieved values of attractiveness. But he would not have this creature continue to lie to itself about not being affected by anything. Especially when it looked hungrier and hungrier by the moment. And Ryuuji was a mystery that would intrigue any of the Sidhe from any Court.

Date: 2006-11-04 06:07 am (UTC)It felt warm, and vampires felt no warmth, and it felt hot, and heat was dangerous, and if he was going to die right now, this would be the oddest and the most pleasant way to do so.
But he did not wish to die, especially not at the hands of some prankish fey.
"I merely have no desire to subject myself to your little games." He hissed lowly, eyes fierce and over-bright, "Release me."
Ryuuji tilted his head at them, watching curiously, a faint pout on his lips. He didn't quite like seeing his Terry touching someone else, even if only to provoke a reaction from them, and curled his own fingers around Terry's free hand, "Let's go outside and get some fresh air? It's a little crowded in here --" And a smirk twisted his lips, challenging the vampire, "--with all sorts of riff-raff."

Date: 2006-11-04 06:16 am (UTC)But there was a time and place for everything. And a step outside to learn just exactly which time and place this was, would help with any future dealings with the creature and for himself. If he were under geas and had forgotten, it wouldn't do to forfeit anything. And he would not forfeit one such as Ryuuji.
"Very well." He turned and leaned in to whisper against the vampire's ear, skillfully twisting his body to keep his neck too far away to be snared. "Just remember. You did not make me or force my hand, Unseelie. A mortal bought your freedom with his delights."
Smiling wickedly with a touch of cool calculation, the Sidhe turned to go, curling warm fingers around Ryuuji's wrists and nodding to let him lead.

Date: 2006-11-04 06:44 am (UTC)He stepped outside, and blinked, and the body he was wearing shifted around him in a haze of magic to turn into Oz's. Oz glanced down, and then back at the vampire, who had been following them only to be caught in the same magic.
Vampire now being Ryuuji, of course.

Date: 2006-11-04 07:03 am (UTC)"Huh?"
It was as much as he could manage, because it made no sense and he was pretty certain he'd been careful about food and drink. And where was Ryuuji? Turning, Terry saw a vampire costume and familiar green eyes.
"What?"
Things were still trying to settle themselves in his mind as the magic left its last touches.

Date: 2006-11-04 07:15 am (UTC)Ryuuji blinked, looking at Oz and then at Terry, "Did we just--"
He shook his head, having had a whole fuzzy set of memories about being a centuries-old vampire implant themselves in his head and then disapper, leaving him only with the memories of talking to a Sidhe and himself. One hand raising up to touch his forehead, he frowned slightly, and grabbed for Terry's hand, taking a step backwards out of shock as he remembered how much Oz-as-him had seemed to know about himself.
Unfortunately, that put him right back inside the Great Hall, and took Terry with him.

Date: 2006-11-04 07:26 am (UTC)"You mistake me for the weak, Unseelie. I do not play games. Our conversation has finished. You are as unwanted as bright steel. Just as cold. And without an true edge. I neither want or need a blunted weapon."
no subject
Date: 2006-11-04 07:31 am (UTC)A smirk twisted his lips, coolly mocking, and he asked the Sidhe, "As for a 'true edge', where has your little pet wandered off to? Long-lived he might be, but he is only mortal and as fickle as all their kind are. Think you he has left you already, unable to bear being around a more flawless version of himself?"
no subject
Date: 2006-11-04 07:36 am (UTC)"He has no need of your flawlessness. He has life, spirit, warmth and creativity. We've been over this before. He'd have no reason to fear or envy you. And you would not envy him my company. I am not so old I need a conversation thrice. Speak your mind or leave. There are other things to be done and to be heard." One of which was hunting down his mortal lover.

Date: 2006-11-04 07:49 am (UTC)"Tell me, phantasm, think you he is my fair brother?" For if they were related in any manner at all... The smirk that curved the vampire's lips was as sharp as his eyes, and his teeth were as white as the whites of his eyes.

Date: 2006-11-04 07:54 am (UTC)His eyes darkened, threatening to black and the magic under his skin hummed like the sound of far off bees; angry and busy but not quite focused, not yet. The scent of cinammon and smoke growing stronger.

Date: 2006-11-04 08:02 am (UTC)Stained glass saint, will you cut my tongue if I lick your window?

Date: 2006-11-05 08:55 am (UTC)The Sidhe's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "And if you have any strange connection to him that you have hid; any spell or bidings, I shall break them and then I shall come after you." His voice, if it was possible and with Sidhe anything was, narrowed as well; sharp as a blade.

Date: 2006-11-05 09:23 am (UTC)Loose long hair hanging halfway down to his hips in soft waves of black, he tilted his head forwards, making a few strands slip forwards and frame his face, dark against the pale, cold gold of his skin. His smirk widened a little, "What, you cannot tell if I have any claim on your pretty pet? Such a poor owner you are, to be so unknowing of his life."
Not that the vampire had any connection to Ryuuji that he knew of, but considering how alike they looked, it was plausible.

Date: 2006-11-05 09:31 am (UTC)"Mortals do not give their love cheaply. Lusts yes, and mad fantasies, but not love. Perhaps when you have had a companion for more than a moon you'll know the difference between pet and friend."
Looking down his nose the vampire, with no inclanation to stay in its presence any longer, the Sidhe turned to leave. The room was large and he would at least see who else was there. He would gain some glimmer of information before finding a way to where ever Ryuuji now was.

Date: 2006-11-05 09:53 am (UTC)Ryuuji blinked, dazed, and put both hands to his head, eyes shut as he tried to process the sudden switch back to himself.

Date: 2006-11-05 10:02 am (UTC)Now he did. He blinked too, disoriented and having to remember why he was wearing what he was wearing. His eyes went wide when he realized he was holding a blade. They went wider still when he realized he'd been about to knife Ryuuji.
"Something's....fishy." Shyly, shakily, he slipped the blade along his spine, trusting the waistband of his skirt to hold it up.

Date: 2006-11-05 10:08 am (UTC)He stuck his tongue out for a second, forgetting about the fangs that he'd used his dragon form to draw out, and nicked it slightly. Not enough for blood, just enough to remind him what he was dressed as.
...And, thanks to that, what had just been happening.
no subject
Date: 2006-11-05 10:15 am (UTC)Secondly, Ryuuji dressed up as a vampire, using his own fangs....
Terry grinned. "Well, maybe I thought you didn't really have the fangs to bite me." Whatever had happened was alright now, wasn't it? Whatever strange magic had occurred - and had he actually been magic? - it stopped them from doing anything dangerous.
The thought of being magic, however, made Terry pause for the slightest moment. He could barely remember what it felt like. But he thought it might have felt a lot like being Ryuuji. Unconsciously he took a step forward.

Date: 2006-11-05 10:21 am (UTC)Fingers curling over Terry's shoulder, he shot the other a wicked smirk, going with the flow as usual and not letting it interrupt his fun, "So, you going to stab me if I take just a little taste now?"
no subject
Date: 2006-11-06 03:25 am (UTC)His skin was still charmed to shimmer and glow. But all it was now was the pretense of magic in the blood. He glanced at Ryuuji sideways. "It's only human now, will you be disappointed?"
