Open rp in the Gryffindor common room;

Jack is planning for the weekend, by that he's reading a book and doodling on the edges of the pages. But it's fine, it's one if his books. No, not one of those books, well not quite. There is also a partly written letter in his handwriting (and there are mentions of a drunken dalek), what would appear to be a dictionary along with another book lying on the floor. A book about pterosaurs lying open face down already abandoned, a a list of things that he needed to pick up and a list of places to go. He might have be at some point working on things that he shouldn't be least not quite so openly in the middle of the common room. Well at least he wasn't out in the rain like he could be.

((Note: Jack is gonna be annoying and say things in Welsh, I'm learning the language, my grammar isn't gonna be amazing. I will include translations, yes it will be completly innuendo laden, or just obvious.))

With a smile, Sarah did and then laughed softly after puzzling out what he said and not recognizing it. "I know English and French, still learning Greek and Latin and I know a bit of Spanish and Catalan. I still have no idea what you just said." Which could be problematic, but she was always open to learning new languages.

"Cymraeg, Welsh." Jack picked up the dictionary. "Brushing up on the language. It's been a while, care to learn a few phrases?" A slight smirk on his face as he offered. For the most his knowledge of the Welsh language was interesting in his choice of phrases.

"Sure, I'm game," Sarah said, adjusting the bag around the kittens before drawing up one knee to rest her chin on, getting comfortable. "Ready when you are."

"Bore da." He started with something nice and simple, also innocent. "Mean's good morning." He then pointed to the closest window and in reference to the weather outside. "Maen bwrwgalu. S'raining."

With a smile, Sarah carefully repeated each phrase quietly to herself and then spoke them aloud more clearly so they could be heard. The beginning of a new language meant pronunciation was a bit off, but luckily for her she had always been quite good at picking up on proper pronunciation as part of being able to place accents. Academic study turned novelty, in a way.

"So what you said earlier had something to do with good?" she asked, mentally matching up familiar sounds and sentence structure.
