The cheeseburger was a work of beauty. The bun was toasted to a golden brown on the inside, but still light, fluffy, and warm on the top. Ketchup and mustard were drizzled over the bread. Thick slices of tomato, crisp onion rings, and fresh, still slightly damp leaves of lettuce provided crunch. Two slices of cheese melted over a grilled beef patty. A basket of french fries served as a compliment to the perfect sandwich.
The smell of the beef was making Grant's mouth water, and Dog was showing more interest in the food than was healthy for the burger. He swatted her away from the plate, and he hoped that Laura showed up at his room soon, or her was going ot eat the damn thing himself.

Date: 2006-10-17 05:49 am (UTC)We have our ups and downs as beings of all sorts do. But I have never heard of such a poison tainting a clan as what happened to her. Of course, her sire did have help in thinking to do such things. I've never heard of anything like his situation either.
The house-elf arrived and set out a bowl of raw steak and two bowls of diced chicken. Galahad's nose twitched. A lot of food for just Dog, isn't it?

Date: 2006-10-17 06:01 am (UTC)Neither have I. Grant shook his head, a very human gesture. I've learned all sorts of new things, here. Laura hasn't been sitting around, either. She's been trying to learn as much about BOB as she can.
He stood up and padded over to the bowl of steak. It's not jut for her. I'm hungry, and Laura said it would be okay to give you some. Grant looked back at the 'cat. She's also got a piece of hamburger for you two hidden away somewhere.

They think BOB may have been trying to cast a spell of the wizard's kind of magic the night she died. The wizard fears something worse of it than he liked to let on to her.
He nosed at a bowl of chicken. Mmmm. You have good meats on your world, I'll give you that. Now we see if Dog will join us.

Really. Grant filed that bit of information away for later, then tucked into his dinner.
Dog could smell the chicken from across the room. She lifted her nose up and sniffed, eyes on the third bowl. She creeped closer to the food, stopping every few feet to sniff and eye Grant and Galahad.
