Dear Captain Harkness:
You won't know me, but I've heard you on that radio thing a few times and talked to your friend the Doctor, and I've been thinking that all us Captain Jacks - there's two more of us, me and another fellow named Sparrow - ought to have a meeting of some sort. Indeed, it seems to me a damned shame we haven't all met up before. Us Captain Jacks need to stick together, you know! We could have a drink and a bit of a chinwag about our ships and things. The Doctor says you have a ship that flies through the air - I should very much like to hear more about it.
Anyway, do let me know if you'd like to meet up.
Yours etc.,
Captain Jack Aubrey
His Majesty's Royal Navy
Ahoy Captain Sparrow -
I say, I think it's about time you and me and the other Captain Jack (Harkness, that is) had that meeting we were talking about earlier. As you said, we Captain Jacks ought to stick together, and certainly more of that fine rum would not go amiss as well. Did you know that Captain Harkness has a ship that flies through the air? I should dearly like to hear about such a thing.
I hope that damned dirty scrub Norrington has not got his mitts on you yet. I was in the Ravenclaw common room not long ago and caught no glimpse of him - perhaps he is back in France reporting to his superiors, eh?
Pray tell me when and where would be a good time to meet, and we shall have our first meeting of the Captain Jack Club.
Yours etc.
Captain Jack Aubrey
Dear Miss Michon:
As I promised in Potions class, I am writing to inform you that, thanks to my house-elf friend, I have acquired a pair of those blue trousers that you seem to fancy so much. We may commence our proposed stroll by the lake at your convenience, so that you may render judgement upon them. I understand that you are a fellow member of
Your humble servant,

Date: 2006-08-20 09:46 pm (UTC)That sounds like an excellent plan. Perhaps we might catch a glimpse of the giant squid as well - I found it to be a most amazing sight, though after your Sea Beast, I daresay you're quite used to such things.
See you tonight, then.

Date: 2006-08-20 09:27 pm (UTC)Three of us... well they say good things come in threes.
Doctor talking about me, hope it was all good. No problems I'll tell you all about my old ship, or ships. Had more than one. Should be a laugh! Give me a time and a place and I'll be there.
You know I think I knew a guy in the Royal Navy once...
Harkness.

Date: 2006-08-20 09:49 pm (UTC)I understand you are from the future - does the Royal Navy still exist in your time, then?
The Doctor said nothing bad about you, I assure you. He said you were a traveller in search of adventure, as I recall - a damned fine occupation, I must say. Were I not in the Navy, I might pursue such a thing myself. I should like to hear of your adventures.

Date: 2006-08-21 09:39 am (UTC)51st century guy that's me. Not as you would know the Royal Navy at least, I take it the Doc never told you I'm a time-traveller as well as having a ship that just travels through the air.
Let me tell you I found adventure. I'll save all the stories for when we meet. Half the fun of travelling is meeting the people
and sleeping with them.Harkness
