Come quickly to the Sorting Room. Your father is here.

Yes, it's really him! But...well, he's a little bit different, Harry, so you're going to have to be patient. I may as well tell you everything now, so that it's not a surprise when you go in there.
Harry, he's your age. He's seventeen. He says he stepped through a door and suddenly was in the Sorting Room, something like that. So there are things he doesn't know...about me...and about you...and so we need to give him some time to adjust. We've all told him he has a son, and he's heard a bit about what happened with Voldemort and my incarceration at Azkaban. But it's a lot of new information for him, and I think he's still trying to process it all.
He's definitely asked about you, though, once he found out that you exist. He asked whether you really look like him (and I told him yes, just like him), and I told him all about how brilliant you are at Quidditch.
Harry...it's going to be strange, and I don't want you to be hurt, so...well...look, don't rush it, all right? I mean, I'm so excited for you to meet him, but I think some things will be a shock for both of you, and I don't want either of you two to get overwhelmed.
Just sit back and think about it all for a bit, and then when you're ready, let me know and I will introduce you to him. And if there's anything you want me to ask him meanwhile, or anything you want me to say to him on your behalf, let me know and I'll do it.
Harry, I love the both of you so much, and while I think we're all going to have to adjust to some of these changes, in the end it's going to be one of the best things that's ever happened.
